This is my first time joining in on the SublimeSunday inspired by @c0ff33a...so I hope I do right....and random thoughts too...thanks @c0ff33a for this initiative.
Feeling the sun scorching through my skin...with the power out on a Sunday afternoon, laying down feeling so restless as a result of the heat...well, am not complaining it is Africa so it is our birth right lol..
Most times, I spend my Sunday mornings in church, then the rest of the day with family, watching movies and just simply relaxing...sometimes I have a friend or two come over. But I happened to be alone all day today, with no power and have been dragging from my bed to the couch trying to sleep due to the heat. Well, obviously I can't do that so I might as well be here.
What Makes A Good Life?
Life in itself is vast and cannot be fully defined as we all have come up with our own definition coined from either our background, experiences learnt and and the future we want. Life can be an amazing journey for you and it could suck for another, depending on what you make of life.
Nowadays, living a good life has become something you need to work extra miles for, well of course depends on the individual...you can choose to find happiness in the little things of life and be content with it or you can choose to reach for the stars at any cost...there is always a choice.
A good life should be based on the simple things that makes you happy or brings smiles and satisfaction to your face. There is family, where you find the most happiness, a place without pretense...where you are loved unconditionally and reprimanded for your mistakes. A man without a family is like a tree without roots. In every life with "good" in it there is a healthy family giving it a boost of positivity.
Another major thing that makes a good life is our values. Values influences our lives and that of others in many ways. The values you live by set you apart from another person, making you unique in your own way and if it is a positive one it helps you achieve your set goals. What values do you live by?
Living a good life should not come at the detriment of hurting or harming others but treating others the same way you want to be treated...asking yourself a question of " If I was in her/his shoes how would I feel" and spreading the little love you can daily...extending that "goodness" to the people around you.

I meant where "human beings" do not have to want for,
Housing, food, other basic needs,
Where people live like they want, not how their social position dictates...
One day a homeless woman in the line at a convience store said to Me,
"I hate money, it doesn't tell You what You can buy, it tells You what You can't"...
These words have stuck with Me...
