This week has been tough for me. I started my week waking up with body aches, and a sore throat, and a few hours later I had a fever. I was sick all day. I got sick on the most special day of the year. It was my birthday. I was supposed to celebrate it with family and friends. A simple celebration would have been a great way to start this new chapter in my book of life. But sadly, my plans went down the drain. I ended up lying on my bed all day.

But even though this unfortunate situation happened to me, I am still thankful to God for this blessed life He has given me. I have so much to be thankful for. My family who has been my has been my source of strength. My friends support and encourage me. My job puts food on the table for me and my family. The people who always include me in their prayers. And hive that revives my love for writing. The little favors I received from God each day is enough to let me know I am loved.
Getting sick on my birthday may be the worst thing that can happen on your most special day but I believe this is a message to me. A reminder to take care of my most delicate wealth which is my health. Lately, I have been juggling between work deadlines, seemingly endless paperwork, being a mother, personal life, and blogging. I even joked with my friend when she asked me how I do all these things at the same time, I just told her that if they are the multipotentialite I am the multitasker. 😅 Anyhow, I have been under a lot of stress and pressure lately and my body is now complaining.
When our body is speaking to us, we got to listen. We only live once and living is such a beautiful thing. Many would do anything just for a chance to live one more day. I am halfway to my existence if I am to live and love til 70. And at this moment in time, I am not at my 100% vitality. Taking care of my health should be my top priority. I still have so many things on my bucket list which I also jokingly call sana all list. I wanna fulfill all these without my back and joints hurting or gasping for air after a few steps. I want to be able to run the green plains, hike the mountains and swim in the blue seas even when I get older.

Taking care of or health doesn't have to be expensive. We start with the basic things. 8 hours of sleep, 8 glasses of water, a healthy diet, and exercise which I usually take for granted. And the most important thing is self-discipline to be able to follow this basic routine. Let us not wait until it's too late. We should start now and be healthy and live longer.
This has been the start of chapter 36 of my book of life. A reminder that health is wealth. A negative start that will lead to a positive outcome.

Can't agree more it feels like the only time that we can rest is when we are sick. Kinda hard to juggle everything nowadays as we need to work on a lot of stuff at the same time.
