En esta oportunidad me gustaría compartir con ustedes un poco acerca de lo fueron mis practicas profesionales🎓🎓 de psicología🧠 en el Centro de Atención Integral de Deficiencias Visuales (CAIDV) 👩🏫, lo que hice, aprendí y experimente allí.

This time I would like to share with you a little about what were my professional🎓 practices of psychology🧠 at the Center for Integral Care of Visual Impairments (CAIDV)👩🏫, what I did, learned and experienced there.

En CAIDV Aragua🇻🇪📍 se les enseña a las personas con Deficiencias Visuales a vivir con su condición de una forma en la que puedan ser autónomos y puedan vivir adaptados a ella.
CAIDV Aragua🇻🇪📍 teaches people with Visual Impairments to live with their condition in a way that they can be autonomous and can live adapted to it.
One of the things they are taught is the use, parts, and handling of the cane;
Así como también técnicas de orientación y movilidad que les permita transportarse de manera segura☑️, también a los acompañantes o familiares se les enseñan la forma correcta de ser un guía vidente👁️🗨️.
As well as orientation and mobility techniques that allow them to transport themselves safely☑️, companions or family members are also taught the correct way to be a sighted guide👁️🗨️.
The institution also offers education about basic handling at mealtime, distribution and orientation of utensils🍽️;
Y como centro integral ofrece orientación psicologica (donde trabaje yo, aunque también participe como guía vidente y en el ámbito organizacional de la institución), en el cual se dan orientaciones, evaluaciones🔍 y acompañamiento psicológico a los participantes y sus familiares🤝.
And as an integral center it offers psychological orientation *** (where I work, although I also participate as a sighted guide and in the organizational scope of the institution)***, in which orientations, evaluations🔍 and psychological accompaniment are given to the participants and their families🤝.
The people who make life in the institution are qualified👨🎓👩🎓📜 personnel, teachers in the area of special education who work according to several axes that facilitate the process of adaptation and learning of the participants;
En mi tiempo⏳ en CAIDV trabaje no solo con pacientes y consultas psicologicas📝, sino también con el personal👥, haciendo talleres teórico prácticos psicoeducativos acerca de la importancia de la cultura de higiene mental, inteligencia emocional, depresión, ansiedad y prevención del suicidio.
In my time⏳ at CAIDV I worked not only with patients and psychological consultations📝, but also with staff👥, doing psychoeducational theoretical and practical workshops about the importance of the culture of mental hygiene, emotional intelligence, depression, anxiety and suicide prevention.
For the emotional💡 intelligence workshop, propose different strategies that will adapt to the staff since people with visual disabilities work within it;
Y una forma de ser inclusivo es la descripción oral detallada👄📣 de las imágenes y su significado así cómo también ser interactivo.
And one way to be inclusive is the detailed oral description 👄📣 of the images and their meaning as well as being interactive.
My experience in this institution was really enriching in every way, it even allowed me to meet my now friend Alejandro🤝 who graduated with me, a young adult who has a visual condition with which he has lived since he was 15 years old📆;
Y de verdad que para mi fue un gran ejemplo e inspiración, ya que el es la clara imagen de lo que pueden lograr las personas con una condición con el apoyo, la orientación adecuada y el desarrollo de sus habilidades, ya que Alejandro fue en su momento participante de esta institución.
And really for me he was a great example and inspiration, since he is the clear image of what people with a condition can achieve with the support, the right guidance and the development of their skills, since Alejandro was at the time a participant of this institution.

This experience marked me a lot, it helped me to value my senses more, my life, it enhanced my personal and professional growth.
And really the only thing I feel is gratitude to this institution, because even in the socio-economic conditions in which we Venezuelans are subject in the educational field and in general, there are people dedicated and passionate about their work and help to others.
