In previous publications I had introduced them to my new cat Estrella and I commented that I could explain how we achieved her adaptation in our home by having another cat.
Since two years ago we have our cat daughter Luna and since almost a month ago we decided to give her a little sister, but she didn't take it very well at first bien😂. I suppose it is due to her natural instituting to defend her territory.
Sincerely I was very worried because the rejection that Luna had towards Estrella was not normal, the first three days I didn't sleep well at all, waiting for Estrella not to be killed by her sister while dormíamos😂 although it is worth mentioning that Estrella, being still so small, didn't let Luna fall asleep and defended herself haha
My boyfriend and I saw how difficult the process of adaptation was between them and decided to look for videos on Youtube that will help us know how to handle the situation, so I'll share with you the ones that I think worked for us:
When you meet them for the first time, it's important to maintain a relaxing atmosphere for all of them. Remember that they're usually very sensitive to your emotions, and if you already have a kitten in your home, you can put her favourite food on it to create an excellent atmosphere in front of the new kitten and associate it with a quiet space.
Let the new kitten run around the house to explore her new home, you can leave it alone but always keep an eye on it.
With a cloth, wipe it over the new kitten so that it concentrates all its scent and you can put it near the old kitten and let it get used to its scent.
Always give them food at the same time to avoid confrontations between them, this also serves to continue creating a calm atmosphere and associate their company with a good time of day: the food.
Five and I think the most important, that's why I highlight their number, don't exclude any of the two kittens, give your attention to both equally. The arrival of a new furry cat in the house is exciting but don't leave out the old one because they can really feel the rejection, cats are usually very independent but from time to time they also claim their love 😂

En anteriores publicaciones les había presentado a mi nueva gatita Estrella y comenté que podía explicar como logramos su adaptación en nuestro hogar ya teniendo otra gata.
Desde hace dos años tenemos a nuestra hija gatuna Luna y desde hace casi un mes decidimos darle una hermanita, pero ella al principio no se lo tomó muy bien😂 Supongo que se debe a su institno natural de defender su territorio.
Sinceramente estuve muy preocupada porque el rechazo que tenía Luna hacia Estrella no era normal, los primeros tres días no dormí nada bien pendiente de que Estrella no fuera asesinada por su hermana mientras dormíamos😂 aunque cabe destacar que Estrella siendo aún tan pequeña no se dejaba dominar por Luna y se defendía jaja
Mi novio y yo al ver tan díficil el proceso de adaptación entre ellas decidimos buscar vídeos en Youtube que nos ayudarán a saber manejar la situación, así que les compartiré los que considero nos funcionaron a nosotros:
Cuando se ven por primera vez es importante mantener un ambiente relajante para todos, por tu parte no debes transmitir nervios recuerda que ellos suelen sentir mucho nuestras emociones, y en caso del gatito que ya tienes en tu casa puedes colocarle su comida favorita para crear en él un excelente ambiente frente al nuevo gatito y lo vaya asociando con un espacio tranquilo.
Deja que el nuevo gatito recorra toda la casa para que explore su nuevo hogar, puedes dejarlo solo pero siempre esta atento.
Con un trapito/ un pedazo de tela pasalo por todo el gatito nuevo de manera que se concentre todo su olor y se lo puedes colocar cerca al gatito viejo y se vaya acostumbrado a su aroma.
Siempre dales comida al mismo tiempo para evitar enfrentamientos entre ellos, esto también sirve para seguir creando un ambiente tranquilo y asocien su compañia con un momento bueno del día: la comida.
Cinco y creo que la más importante, por eso resalto su número, no excluyas a ninguno de los dos gatitos, dale tu atención a ambos por igual. La llegada de un nuevo peludo a la casa es emocionante pero no dejes de lado al anterior porque ellos realmente pueden sentir el rechazo, los gatos suelen ser muy indepentientes pero de vez en cuando también reclaman su amor 😂
Sinceramente creo que seguir estos simples paso ayudó a mejorar la convivencia en nuestras hijas y ahora miren como son:
