What Does Hive Mean To Me ?

It's my entry to the initiative of @theycallmedan about What Does Hive Mean To Me?.

In the first paragraph of the initiative I see that hive was created with improved decentralization and that's the most important for me !

So, hive for me is the change. A change for the better !

I've been on steem exactly 2 years and 10 months. That was a long journey where I observed a lot of change. I didn't even know about the 'ninja-mined stake', not only mined by steemit, but by some other steemians as well. I thought that's all earned or invested. I think most regular steemians thought the same and that's why they were so excited about steem, earning it and investing in it. We had even a group of people powering up most of their rewards to support witnesses who were powering down. And to support all steem economy. We had people burning a lot as well. We had people sacrificing their time and energy to see some improvement and to change at least something. The picture doesn't look great at all.

So, to change all that we need all to work together as a team. We need to treat each other as members of our big community, but not depending on the hive power we have or the influence. No one has the right to push for his thing. Let's look at the proposals as a suggestion, not as an idea we're ready to do anything to make it implimented. We should take in consideration all opinions and create a poll that's more democratized. Let's make hive really decentralized. It's not a kindom as @jaki01 said in his post : How decentralized is HIVE?. We should learn a lesson from what happened to steem as @jackmiller said in this amazing post and great view of what's going on : “Learning From Our Mistakes“.

I would like to see hive evolve into a fair platform !

As a content creator who was creating almost every single day in steem, I can talk a lot about this. I was creating in steemit for almost a year for cents, then moved to @dtube because my hard work was rewarded better, then start to creat in @threespeak because the rewards were even much better. But, I was writing good and valuable posts anyway, but it doesn't bring me any rewards or visibility, that's why I was just mixing my videos with writing at the same time. Without using the video platforms it was hard to reach the audience. That's why also I bacame very active in twitter promoting steem and a lot of steemians know me there and I'm followed by more than 1000 steemian because I posted only about steem and now I'm posting about hive as well.

But, I noticed a lot of writers not that rewarded. Really talented writers who spent hours to find the good information to share and to formet their posts as well. That's why I was supporting them using my account and the account of the community @dcooperation and when I became a curator in @tipu I also did my best to support such creators. Even though I would like to see them supported more. Not because they know a whale who's always upvoting them, not because they have a lot of hive power themselves, not because they are working in a big project or a community behind the scenes. But, because their content is great and we don't need to lose such people.

I think it will be nice to have large funded DAO but even more decentralized !

Those created proposals should be upvoted by verified creators. And I think we should set a limit to some big accounts to vote there. That's for the sick of true decentralization. For example accounts with more than 1 or 2 million hive power shoudln't participate there. It's not nice to see one person having more voice than other 1000 or even more. When the majority of creators want something and don't get it even after promoting it so hard and maybe even investing to make it visible somehow, they may just leave such system at all. We should keep people here with great ideas for the improvement. We shouldn't be fully proof of stake and let's give the brain a chance.

I think also that the souce of that shouldn't be from milking the reward pool. The source of DAO should be invested or earned by the system of beneficiaries. Because when each creator participate in it, all us will have the right to say an opinion that will be implemented in some form. We should be like a hive. Every single bee do the same and have the same in return. When you look at bees you don't see a big difference between them. Our queen is the reward pool and we should take care of it.

So, hive means the collaborative team work for one goal !

Our goal is to reach the decentralization. Not a control by a few people, but a real opinion of the masses. That's why we should take care about the trending page in hive. We should have their as much content creators as we can. Not to allow the same people apearing their everyday. That will give the wrong image from outside. It can be done by those creators who are there with a few posts every single day, they can just create less to give others the chance.

I don't want to see hive as an arena of celebrities. We have those in the real world and we don't want to see news about them in the centralized world. We shoudln't have celebrities here. We should have a fully decentralized blockchain that will never be bought by anyone, just like what happened to steem.

Those are my ideas just about how I see things. Maybe I'm wrong, because I'm human and people make mistakes. Don't take it personal and let's discuss things and I may change my mind. Maybe I'm still not aware of the reality. Maybe I don't see something you see. I'm still learning about all this even after being here for so long !

I would like also to see the disagreement expressed in a form of a comment. Not in a form of a flag, because it's not a clear feedback. I liked when we were downvoting in steem only spam and plagiarism. That's what we should do in hive. No more flag wars, no more of demotivators.

Let's improve our communication ! That's an important step to the improvement !
