RE: Welcoming Chanel to my Life

in GEMS3 years ago

Just read this whole blog and I have overwhelming joy for you. The car is gorgeous. One of my buddies got a Challenger a few years back… Those cars are so sick, true muscle.

Take some time getting used to the power mixed with the RWD. You can lose the tail end easily if you are not careful. You’ll be comfortable with the way it drives in no time.

Also look into adding a custom exhaust eventually. Ideally a cat back, but even just a muffler would be dope. It will really help the sound of the car come to life.

Btw. Is this the V8 or V6 version? Both are solid engines, just curious.

Thanks man!!

Yeah The challenger has rain and city tires on and I don't plan to change them for winter... Ill be fine just cant let my ego get to me.

haha I knew someone was gonna say that, I already found a CAI and a brand new catback Borla exhaust system for it, but its hard to justify 2K on some extra horsepower and better sound. (Which is marginal as you'll read in my next sentence.)

Unfortunately it is only a 3.6L 6Cyl, but at some point I would like to put a 392 or better in place of it via crate package. Honestly I'm bummed but not overwhelmingly sad, its my daily and going from a FWD 2.4L 4Cyl Jeep to this abruptly before winter is already quite a bit.

I can only blame you, you got me thinking about cars more when I saw your gorgeous Audi announcement haha (If I remember correctly)

I never get winter tires, just gotta play it extra safe during bad road conditions.

The price is why I never purchased an exhaust for my car. A cheap and satisfying alternative is to have a local muffler shop build you a custom muffler on the low. It will change the tune, but won’t up your power. If you’re in it a lot, that might justify the money. That and a good sound system make driving so much more enjoyable.

You have an awesome car. Zero reasons to be bummed. Continue to be psyched and proud of what you’ve earned.

& yes indeed. Still sliding around in the A4.

Oh trust me, new audio was installed less than a week into owning it. I already had a good sound package stock but my JBL/Infinities with subs just don't even compare.

If you ever come up to Michigan, we have to meet up and drive together. We'll own the streets around here haha.

Subs make it so much better. Try this one out and lemme know how it sounds…

Never been to Michigan before, but it’s not too far. May head up north at some point. A solid Hive meetup would be good for everyone in attendance.
