Yesterday was a bank holiday in Switzerland and as I don't work Fridays, I'm enjoying a very long weekend this week. There is a flower garden close to our place and until now I forgot to go there on time for the season of peonies and roses. I always came either too early or too late. But not this year! I even added it to my agenda last year, so that I get a reminder on time 😊 Sounds crazy, but this is how it works for me.
And so, yesterday we went there for the first time right on time and it was beautiful. I remember peonies from my childhood. My grandma had plenty of them in her garden. The garden smelled so nice when they bloomed. They were always full of ants and when we took a bunch of flowers home, we were finding ants all over the living room for at least a week. But it was worth it!
This garden, which is something like our local botanical garden, is famous for its variety of peonies and more than 90 various types of roses. It's created and maintained by a society that employs mentally ill people who wouldn't get any other job otherwise. They also grow vegetables and fruits and we do our weekly grocery shopping mainly here as we like this project.
There is not much more to say, so today I will keep it short. I hope you'll enjoy these photos! And I'm sorry that you can't smell them 🙂

Seems like spring came and gone this year and everyone missed it.
How's they new job going Martina?
It's going quite well. The product line is very different to what I'm used to (worked in MedTech and this is a machinery company) and they also have a very different way of working but so far I like it. We are a small team and it looks like we're going to work well together. The only thing is that I don't have enough time for things that I like. But I guess that I will get used to it. It's anyway just temporary as I want to continue with my business plan in a few years when the market stabilizes (I do hope that it stabilizes :) ) and how are you? Still in the UK?
