The Department of the Air Force wants to know if you can hack its satellites. Registration for the second Space Security Challenge: Hack-A-Sat opened on May 4, with the qualification event slated to run June 26-27.

As our lives become increasingly dependent on technologies that lie deep in space, it is imperative that we do what it takes to secure our universe. Hack-A-Sat 2 (HAS2) is designed to inspire the world’s top cybersecurity talent to develop the skills necessary to help reduce vulnerabilities and build more secure space systems.
The United States Air Force and United States Space Force jointly present this year’s Hack-A-Sat, which is open to all cybersecurity researchers who want to up their skills and knowledge of space cybersecurity. The challenge begins with a qualification round, and culminates in an attack/defend style Capture the Flag Event. It’s a space showdown designed to blur the lines between The Good and The Bad, and to focus all the best minds on creating a Cyber-Secure universe.

Now that looks way cool! I wish I knew how to hack a satellite and I would certainly try. The closest I can get to, however, is watching my cat hack up.
Seriously, though, that's a fantastic idea. Asking the internet to hack you stuff will certainly elicit a response.

I'm reminded of the movie Terminator where young John Connor has that keycode device to hack a door. Or I think that's the right movie. Regardless... very relevant to the times as @old-guy-photos mentioned with the gas shortages... I MEAN hacking lol.
As we get smarter we need to remember where we came from yes? And you have helped highlight this by promoting future leaders in the CyberSecurity Field.
