No faltaron razones para amarte
Pero sí razones para quedarte;
Me diste la espalda, cerraste la puerta y
Luego, por su puesto,
Tampoco faltó la tristeza.
El adiós fue prematuro,
Aunque tenía algunas canas
Para mí nacía,
Para mí era eterno aquel caído.
Mas ¡Bendigo el tiempo! Por coincidirnos;
¡Bendigo el pueblo! Porque allí te encontré;
Bendigo tus caminos y tus pasiones,
Porque aunque hoy nos separan
Un día nos unieron.
No faltaba rima para el verso,
No faltaban ganas para un beso,
No había un segundo en el que no añorara
Tus labios color cerezo.
Fue inasequible salir ileso
E imposible no enamorarse
De tu alma pura ya no a mi alcance
Y de tu cuerpo que me hizo preso.
¿Qué veían mis ojos, sino a ti?
Nada.
