About me:
From the land of eternal spring , this 26-year-old boy born in Guatemala City greets you. My name is Bryan Torres, and I am here today to introduce myself to the hive community.
I work in a bakery full time, it's a small family business, which with the effort and dedication of my parents has come out ahead.
Although it may seem that life in a bakery is sweet, not all the time it is, this job is very exhausting and stressful, but at the same time rewarding, as you see how all your work is reflected in the happiness and smile that the customers show when they receive their cakes.
Here I show you some cakes that we have made in the bakery:
A 15-year-old cake for a lady who likes music:
This was the cake we made for my sister for her 15th birthday:
Cake for a wedding:
And I couldn't miss my birthday cake, I turned 26 a few days ago:
Knowing that I work in a bakery, you'd think I'd study to be this, but no, nothing could be further from the truth. I studied and graduated with a degree in computer science, and started college in systems engineering but unfortunately my economic situation at that time was not the best so I had to stop my studies. In the future I would like to continue studying Engineering and be a programmer.
I have had many pets, a rabbit, a dog, a chick, a heron and currently I have perhaps the most adorable of all, a kitten:
My biggest dream is to be able to give my parents a house of their own, all our lives we have been moving from house to house, which is not very pleasant since what we all look for in life is stability, to be in a fixed place with which we can feel identified.
First God and with day to day work we will be able to fulfill this dream.
And I'm not very photographic, but I have some pictures so you know who I am:
What I enjoy most in life is the company of my family, everything in life is replaceable, but family is never, they are always there when I need them most, so I love them.
And what else can I tell you, I am an ordinary person, with a routine that I hope in the future can leave me more free time to enjoy life more.
Favourite activities:
I like to do many activities in my free time, for example:
♬ ♬Listening to music ♬ ♬ my favorite genre is RAP, although I also love to listen to 🤘🤘ROCK🤘🤘.
I also like to write ✍️✍️✍️, in fact I joined steemit a couple of years ago (a little more than 2 years ago) to publish my stories, which I wrote based on images I painted. They were little stories, which told the meaning of the image I painted, I remember I had a lot of fun writing those little stories, I started painting the images and then writing a little story to each image I painted, I don't know why I stopped, maybe later I will do it again.
One of my favorite short stories was this one: Losing faith
Colorfit - Drawing & Coloring
Another thing I like to do is draw, although I don't do it very often because it requires a lot of patience and time to do it, time which I don't have much for my work. Some of my drawings:
Although I don't take many selfies, I like to take amateur pictures of everything around me, with the help of my smartphone's camera I "capture moments", which would be impossible to appreciate at the speed the world is moving. My saying: "A picture is worth a thousand words, capture moments through a picture:"
Playing games is something I enjoy without a doubt, the games that make me think are the best, currently my favorite game is @splinterlands, we all like this game, I love it so much that I have even drawn some characters and written some stories before:

Because I'm in Hive?
I knew the Steemit platform more than 2 years ago, I was a regular user, I made publications every day, but that changes around 9 months ago, I didn't feel comfortable on the platform, I believe that was the time of the dark days of steemit when they fired most of their employees.
I never liked conflict, so I decided to get away from the platform, give it a rest and wait for things to get better before returning with renewed strength. I never left there completely, every week I was aware of what was happening there, and when finally there was good news and I was about to return, the storm came again:
Steemit sold...
When I heard this I thought: It's the end of steemit.
I won't say I'm not fond of steemit, of course I am, thanks to her I entered and got to know the crypto world better.
But I simply couldn't dedicate the little free time I have to something that is wobbly and not clear how it will continue.
When I thought all was lost, the publication appeared that Hive would exist, a platform made for the community. Something fresh, perhaps very similar to the platform of steemit but with new ideas and a vision of what a community represents, the union, a place where you can have fun without hate, meeting people from all over the world and sharing the content you want without being censored. (of course all content must have a limit of respect).
In short, Hive is the platform I've been looking for. I hope to be here for a long time, meet many people and share a little of what I like to do.
I also want to thank @anomadsoul @blocktrades and @ocdb for motivating people to make an introductory publication to make themselves better known, I found it a wonderful challenge.
God bless you and long live Hive!
