The backside of the storm was moving over when I woke yesterday morning. It ended up dropping a bit over .1" of rain and the tiniest bit of snow as the coldest part hit. Snow level turned out to be about 500 feet higher than we are.
I had woken at 3:30 but managed another hour of sleep on the couch. The swollen side felt a bit better with the elevation for that time. As the day wore on the pain would come in waves but there tended towards longer times between the waves so at least there is a trend in the correct direction.
I went to go let the birds out and the fog and mist was still clinging to the upper property. Our tiny little bit of snow was still hanging on.
Over the morning there were some good soccer matches that were rather competitive. Liverpool and Fulham then Forrest and Villa. I went and looked this morning on the map since it's the Manchester derby, their 2 stadiums are 4 miles apart.
Been playing with the printer and made a few little keychain bb shooters.
Tried Pet-G for the first time and I like the outcome a lot better than the PLA.
The 3 assembled but needing gluing. I plan to scale one up to hopefully shoot ping pong balls but will need a pair of wide springs that I don't think I have. For now I have plenty of smaller springs to make these.
For the afternoon I put on Scrooged with Bill Murray. I've always liked this version of the old story and especially THIS scene.
"Sometimes you have to SMACK them in the face to get their attention!" I've used that line most of my life. Carol Kane has had quite the career, as has Bill.
Then we watched the Polar Express which has the weird ass animation from the early 00s and a sorta Tom Hanks looking conductor as he voiced the part. It got over in perfect time to turn on the Kraken game which went south pretty fast. I watched until the 3rd period when they were getting trounced 3-1 but lost 5-1 in the end.
I knew they were to lose so I went out to soak and got half an hour. The swelling doesn't like the heat.
The clouds were light enough that I could finally see the moon. It's been overcast and cloudy so long I almost forgot what it looked like.
The last UFC event of the year was on and I wanted to see the 2 main events. The first was Cub Swanson who may be retiring at 41 years old, but he got the KO with a super right.
Then the main Buckley kicked the shit out of Colby, that eye was trashed and they stopped the fight to save Colby's vision. His right eyelid was about to fall off. The amount of blood in the ring was crazy.
I'm so anxious for this swelling to go down and the abscess to be dealt with since I can't take prednisone my eczema is flaring again and it's seriously maddening. I'm just plain tired of pain and itching.
Today is the calm day before the week of weather moves in. Utd will lose to City this morning, The Darts world championship starts mid day, then the Seahawks play this evening. If it doesn't cause too much pain I need to get the wood split so it won't get even more wet, till the greenhouse, and try to keep the printer going on more.
