We managed to make it out of the house close to when we were wanting to. AS we headed east we drove past this semi hauling a pretty big helicopter on a trailer. The I90 sees all kinds of cargo like this as we also see the Boeing plane blanks roll through.
The 50 miles across Idaho goes pretty quick with a large part through the forests.
Then over Lookout Pass into Montana. I was surprised to see the ski area still going. They looked to still have ample snow to allow it.
After a stop in Missoula we made it to the hot springs and to our room. We got ourselves ready and soon were in the hot springs soaking outside. I tried to get pics but my phone didn't want to cooperate. We soaked for over an hour then headed back to the room.
We made dinner reservations for 6 then had some time to kill so we went out to the mini golf course. J ran through them pretty quickly and managed 3 rounds through. R was a bit to spastic and he had to chase his ball numerous times.
After half an hour we were done and the boys wanted to head to the playground.
We went to the cafe for dinner which takes a while to get food but it is pretty tasty.
I really have zero clue how someone can get so massive.
The boys couldn't help playing around and both ended up squeezing into our side.
We went back out to soak for a while and sat and talked in the hot pool outside. There were a lot of people soaking but we managed to squeeze in.
A bit after 9:30 we headed back to the room.
This morning we will go soak again before checking out and heading south. We will stop in Pocatello at our friend's house then we will drive to Salt Lake City.

It is a deep seated need in me to be doing most all the time. I can't play video games because my mind doesn't find it entertaining, I'd rather be building something or working in the garden.

It sounds like you had quite an adventurous day! Driving past a helicopter on a trailer, mini-golfing, and soaking in the hot springs sound like a lot of fun. Did you enjoy your time at Fairmont Hot Springs in Montana?
Hot Springs are the BEST! This is one of the best we have been to with how well it is kept up and the quality of the water. We soaked 3 times and got nearly 4 hours of time in the nice 102 - 105 F water.
