Christmas sharing at church 🌿🍲

¡Hola amigos!

Hace unos días tuvimos el gusto de participar en la comida navideña organizada por la iglesia en una hacienda que cuenta con piscina, pista de bolas criollas, red de voleibol y una zona de cocina ideal para preparar parrilladas, sopas o cualquier comida que tengas planificada. No sabría decir con exactitud cuántas personas asistimos, pero diría que fueron unas 60 personas, entre niños y adultos, así que estuvimos bastante cómodos en cuanto al espacio se refiere.

A few days ago, we had the pleasure of participating in the Christmas lunch organized by the church at a ranch that has a swimming pool, bocce ball court, volleyball net, and a kitchen area ideal for preparing barbecues, soups, or any meal you have planned. I can't say exactly how many people attended, but I would say there were about 60 people, including children and adults, so we were quite comfortable in terms of space.

Por desgracia, ese día me tocó trabajar, pero lo bueno de hacerlo desde casa es que puedo desplazarme a cualquier lugar sin necesidad de descuidar mi turno, así que me llevé el portátil porque no quería perderme esta actividad. La verdad es que me sentí muy a gusto trabajando de esta manera: la tarde estaba fresca y estar rodeada de palmeras me hizo sentir como en la playa 😅.

Unfortunately, I had to work that day, but the good thing about working from home is that I can go anywhere without neglecting my shift, so I took my laptop with me because I didn't want to miss out on this activity. The truth is that I felt very comfortable working this way: the afternoon was cool, and being surrounded by palm trees made me feel like I was at the beach.

También pude jugar un buen rato al voleibol y, créanme, terminé agotada, ya que hacía años que no practicaba este deporte y el sol tampoco ayudó, pero igualmente me divertí mucho. Me encanta cuando se organizan competiciones o juegos para compartir, porque creo que así el grupo se integra mejor y evitamos los silencios incómodos que surgen cuando te relacionas con personas nuevas, ¿no les parece?

I also got to play volleyball for a while, and believe me, I ended up exhausted, since I hadn't played this sport in years and the sun didn't help either, but I still had a lot of fun. I love it when competitions or games are organized for everyone to participate in, because I think it helps the group bond better and avoids those awkward silences that arise when you interact with new people, don't you think?

Para cerrar la reunión con broche de oro, degustamos una sopa de res hecha en leña que estaba riquísima. Creo que la actividad quedó excelentemente organizada y valoro todo el tiempo y esfuerzo que invirtieron los encargados de la organización, porque quedó muy claro que lo hicieron con amor. Fue un día en familia, en el que pudimos compartir la palabra de Dios y disfrutar de una tarde de esparcimiento ❤️‍🔥.

To end the meeting on a high note, we tasted a delicious beef soup made over a wood fire. I think the activity was excellently organized, and I appreciate all the time and effort invested by those in charge of organizing it, because it was very clear that they did it with love. It was a family day, where we were able to share the word of God and enjoy an afternoon of recreation ❤️‍🔥.
