Although I am not an expert gardener or horticulturist, I have dedicated a large part of my life, in high school since my real job was elsewhere, to follow these activities closely.
I have always enjoyed watching my plants grow and grow and have rarely gone to a nursery to buy them.
In some cases it has taken me years to watch them grow (especially fruit trees), in other cases a little less but I have always been fortunate to accompany their growth.
And I have discovered some particular things. For example how well fruit trees such as orange, tangerine, lemon and others not necessarily citrus (I choose these because they are more "long-suffering" and more resistant to various pests) can be combined with garden plants.
Si bien no soy un jardinero o un horticultor experto gran parte de mi vida la he dedicado, en secundaria ya que mi verdadero trabajo era otro, a seguir de cerca estas actividades.
Siempre me ha gustado ver nacer y crecer mis plantas y muy pocas veces he ivo a un vivero a comprarlas.
En algunos casos verlas crecer me ha llevado años (especialmente los frutales), en otros casos un poco menos pero siempre he tenido la fortuna de acompañar su crecimiento.
Y he descubiero algunas cosas particulares. Por ejemplo lo bien que se pueden combinar los árboles frutales como el naranjo, el mandarino, el limón y otros no necesariamente cítricos (elijo éstos porque son más "sufridos" y más resistentes a las diversas plagas) con las plantas de jardín.

Weeding, sowing, pruning, pest control (in my case I use a special compound called potassium soap, completely ecological, and copper sulfate diluted with "quick lime" that is to say white lime of first quality, because I particularly hate agrochemicals, it is a personal position because they destroy the environment).
It is applied by brush or with a sprayer on the trunk of the plants a couple of times a month during autumn and winter when the plants are resting.
It can also be sprayed on horticultural plants because its action is harmless to human health. On the other hand, it combats and prevents pests such as aphids, whiteflies, fruit flies, etc.
El fin del otoño y el inicio de la primavera marcan el período optimal para comenzar a efectuar los trabajos de jardinería y huerta.
Desmalezar, sembrar, podar, combatir las plagas (en mi caso uso un compuesto especial llamado jabón potásico, aboslutamente ecológico, y sulfato de cobre diluído con cal "viva" es decir cal blanca de primera calidad, porque particularmente odio los agroquímicos, es una posición personal porque destruyen el medio ambiente).
Se aplica a pincel o con un pulverizador sobre el tronco de las plantas un par de veces al mes durante el otoño y el invierno cuando las plantas están en reposo.
Se puede pulverizar también en las plantas del horto porque su acción es inocua para la salud del ser humano. En cambio combare y previene las plagas como pulgones, mosca blanca, mosca de la fruta, etc.

También la llaman "naranja de las cuatro estaciones" porque prácticamente entre el período de floración y el período en que maduran los frutos está activa todo el año.
Y tengo otra variedad normal, con semillas y cáscara más dura.

If we mix garden plants with fruit trees, as in my case, we must be careful, for example, when we apply pest control substances to the tree that they do not fall on top of the leafy vegetables.
And above all not to use agrochemicals and / or fertilizers of proven risk to human health.
La armonía entre las plantas es un factor fundamental: distancia, riego adecuado, poda.
Si mezclamos plantas de jardín con frutales como es mi caso debemos estar atentos por ejemplo cuando aplicamos al árbol sustancias para combatir las plagas que no caigan arriva de las verduras de hoja, por esempio.
Y sobre todo no usar agroquímicos y/o fertilizantes de probado riesgo para la salud humana.
