While looking out on some pictures on my phone, I saw the photo of lemon chicken which was ordered from a restaurant. I drooled upon the picture so I thought of cooking something for dinner. However, I have limited ingredients. I don't have chicken in the house, but gladly there's chicken nuggets which my brother sells. I tried to look out in the internet how to make the syrup but they seemed so complicated so I decided to try out for myself, and see how it will taste.
Ingredients
- Chicken nuggets
- Lemon
- Brown sugar
- Salt
- Flour
Procedure:
- Heat the pan, and pour some oil. Fry the chicken nuggets. This is easier since I don't have to cut the chicken or use bread crumbs, eggs, and cornstarch when frying.
- Squeeze one lemon, heat the caserole, and pour the squeezed lemon on it.
- Add about three tablespoons of sugar, and some salt to neutralize the sweetness.
- As the sugar dissolves, add a bit of dissolved flour to thicken the sauce a bit.
- As the sauce thickens a bit, add the fried chicken, and cook for just one minute.
Turn the fire off, and serve the chicken nuggets in brown lemon syrup on the plate.
Serve!
So far, it tastes good as the sweetness and sourness blends. The chicken nuggets taste good too as it absorbed the sauce and still has some crispiness on it.
