Why is Hive GOOD for Kids?

in GEMSlast year

These days, since childhood, people have been told that all cryptos are scams. They've believed this mainstream lie until adulthood. They don't even try to research it themselves or for their own children.

Today, I'd like to talk about kids on Hive. Could Hive really change a kids life and bring them success? Can it teach them more about the outside world and help them to create a better life for themselves?

Whenever the opportunity comes, I try to tell kids about Hive. About a week ago, I told a friend about Hive and he doesn't live too far away from me. I showed him a little bit about the blockchain and he took a look at my "Estimated Account Value" in my wallet. He goes "OMG, THAT'S A NEW iPHONE IN THERE!".
He gave me his contact info since he has now moved away so we hoped I could walk him through signing up, but has never created a Hive account. (As far as I know).

My point was, that at some point the parents find out the child is blogging and independently earning cryptos. Their cognitive dissonance kicks in and discourages them from starting their business until the child basically stops posting.

Why is Hive GOOD for kids and their future? 😀

I believe that trying to convince brainwashed adults is of no use. Teaching their kids that they can master their talents by doing what they love and help their future and/or a business in many ways, would be very beneficial to them. It can pass down in further generations. Who knows, maybe Hive will have an important role in time...

Scroll further, I have created a list/guide on how to get kids started on the blockchain and how they can find success..

Simple steps on how to bring your kids to Hive!

  • First, create an account on HIVE

Of course, let them create an account by signing up if they haven't already. In my opinion, HiveOnboard is a good place to begin. Later on, they can make their very first post! Say hello to everyone, explore and hashtag that post with #introduceyourself . :)

  • What are their hobbies, or main interests in life? What are their Hive posts going to be about?

Seeking their talents is a great way to start posting. What do you like? It could be anything, gaming, animation, photography, life blogs, gardening, homesteading, nature, surfing, poems, stories, literature, needlework, music, farming, prepping, interviewing, vlogs, conspiracies, arts and crafts, podcasting like on Cast.Garden, art, drawing, or simply watching/creating cartoons on BeeToons.tv! Try to keep it friendly for everyone. ;)

  • Connect with Communities, people and other Hive kids

There are so many Communities, I bet there's something they'll enjoy! Also connecting with other people and kids creates bonding. It can be through comments, or simply supporting each other back and forth.

Here are some awesome Hive kids that are already doing great and are worth being supported more with their content and cool personalities.

To name a few:

@duel-master, @legomaster, @naniplayergamer, @srey-yuu, @sakana, @surfgrrl, @apanamakid, @steemean, @dragokazo, @esteban-luna and more!

Hey mommies and daddies, Hive is great for kids! It teaches finance, reading, writing, grammar, creating, image/media editing, spelling and punctuation.

@soyanafuentes @taliakerch @romeskie @emmaris @missdeli @thatsweeneyguy @albuslucimus @trostparadox @leidimarc @victoriabsb @elizabeths14 @leomarylm @foovler @noalys @theycallmedan @josuemonterola @jackdeathblack @raymondspeaks

Keep being awesome! 😊😊😊

  • Encourage your kids

They're now blogging and thriving! Have faith that they can keep going strong. They can take pictures and/or video of what they do to post. I believe we can grow Hive this way.
Here are some ideas for your children on how to start writing:

Why do you like your hobby so much? How did you start? Is there anything that inspires you? Do you believe it can benefit your life in the long-term? Write your thoughts, ideas, hopes, inspiration and questions... Let Hive grow, together as a community. 😀

Who am I?

Hey! I'm Jade! Moderator of the Kidz Community and host of BeeToons.tv. I want to encourage other kids to use Hive as it might be a good thing for everyone to move forward. As a kid, as well. :)

Thank you very much for the mention friend @jadeaca, this publication is very interesting.

I am interested in my daughters entering Hive for all the reasons you indicate.

Especially to get her interested in exploring the world around her in terms of her passions, Arianna is a very creative child, but also distracted.

Right now she is arranging the materials to make a craft she has to do for school, putting recycling into practice.

I told her to order all the materials to make a post here on Hive.

This post gives me the confidence that it is possible to create an account for her. I am very interested in reading and this way, she can express herself and interact with other children who share passions or hobbies.

Grateful for this publication, I will share it so that more mommies know about it.

Amigas @rlathulerie, @mamaemigrante, @doriangel, @alteramelia, I invite you to read this post.

Hello friend thanks for recommending this post, I take this opportunity to thank @jadeaca for bringing this topic because there is a discussion in my family because my 6 year old daughter wants to have a Youtube channel and this generates many mixed feelings but if we agree to support her to create it for threespeak, but we find it complicated the management of this issue in Hive.
On the other hand my third son won a prize of 3 Hives for some pictures he took of me and he doesn't have an account and we don't want him to open it just for that reason and we were confused about that possibility.
But this publication is very helpful in this regard because it allows us to know another perspective than we are always used to in Hive.

Nice to meet you @alteramelia! When I first came to Hive, my papa helped me with things, but eventually I understood. I have tried using YouTube for posts, but YouTube doesn't really like me since I don't give much personal info so they won't let me do many things. Like upload thumbnails, show comments and they shadowban. Threespeak is a better alternative when it comes to Hive especially for kids imo...

Muchas muchas gracias! Thank you very very much @leidimarc! I'm glad this post inspired you. I'm sure they'll make great impressions here. Your children look amazing, tell Arianna she has her first fan. 😊

Good luck on her school project! Thank you for your input, I'd love to see her post! Have a wonderful day. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you @Jadeaca for this post,
it coincides with an account I finally managed to create for my son that is intended first as a savings account for him and when he is good and ready for it, to be used by him to write, connect, read etc. as he sees fit.
he experiences Hive through my own activity here and he is aware of the concept, Having together followed and read many of @apanamakid chapters that we both loved.
his account was also inspired by @samstonehill that has such an account for his kids. thank you for that Sam !
his account is slowly being put into action (by me at that stage), following other kids, connecting and laying the financial bases and setting it up with enough RC to be able to be comfortably used when he chooses to try it out, which will probably be this coming summer.
he already knows that his own personal account is set up and is very excited about it.
even though there is yet hardly anything there, if anyone wants to follow his account, feel free to check it out @yolos.account (his avatar is of his creation of course ❤️).
looking forward to connecting further with other kids and their families (as is the case with @apanamamama , through her sons saga).

love and light.

Hello. Thank you for considering my son César, you inspire me to open a #hive account for him. I have not done it because César does not write digitally yet but I will encourage him to do so.

Children are the future, so they are the ones who must learn much more and become familiar with this subject of cryptocurrencies.

Of course! That's ok. César is already amazing talking in front of the camera. I have high hopes for him. 😊

¡Claro! Está bien. César ya está increíble hablando frente a la cámara. Tengo grandes esperanzas para él. 😊

Teaching children to take advantage of new technologies is very important; of course you need to monitor them because not all the topics that are found, even on Hive, are suitable for children, even for an adolescent it is different.

In any case, with the right use, I believe that Hive can be very useful for children and adolescents and, among other things, prepare them for the future.

wow! what a cool post!
can't believe you're so young !
I don't know if I could have written a similar good post at ur age :D

do your parents know you're blogging ? (^^)

keep going ! :D

@tipu curate

Yes, it's part of my homeschooling. Reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation, finance, etc. :)

sounds like some cool parents :) !
dont be too hard on them ^^ I know it is not easy

greets and have an awesome weekend ! :)

I really hate to be that guy, but this platform is not targeted toward, or intended for use by children. This is due to privacy laws in numerous countries. I have blogged about my children a few times (which I assume is why I got tagged in this post), but I don't intend on bringing them to the platform for a few more years when the oldest turns 13. Any child under 13 using Hive is a direct violation of the TOS.

From the hive.blog terms of service:

One major reason I won't allow my kids here (and I don't think any should be) is an incident that happened a couple of years ago on a side chain where porn was being spammed to the chain by multiple accounts and was nearly impossible to filter. It was a couple of weeks that I certainly would not have wanted my children to be a part of.

I started using Hive when I was 9 or 10. :)

Regarding porn and other bad stuff, my parents talk to me about everything, what the real world is like and there's no secrets in our house. If I were to see someone having sex or something, I would look the other way and click out. GROSS!!

I create pretty good posts I think and like to post my artwork here as well. Just look at my blog. I really don't care about the law since I am not causing any harm to anyone. Using Hive is part of my homeschooling. Reading, writing, spelling, grammar, punctuation, finance and making a few friends here too.

Please don't think of me as some dumb kid because I'm not!!
