Actualmente vivo en la tierra que me vio nacer, se llama Cumaná capital del estado Sucre y queda en Venezuela, quien tiene el honor de ser la primera ciudad del continente americano, fundada por los españoles en 1521, bajo el mando de Gonzalo de Ocampo, a pesar de que la ciudad fue fundada en 1521 ya en 1515 habían misioneros franciscanos.

Cumaná está en la desembocadura del río Manzanares. Es una ciudad bastante plana, dominada por una colina, en donde hay un castillo llamado san Antonio de la eminencia con una linda vista hacia toda la ciudad y hacia el golfo de Cariaco, que separa la tierra firme de la península de Araya.
Cumaná también fue la ciudad natal de uno de los venezolanos más ilustres, Antonio José de Sucre, vencedor en Ayacucho, la batalla que consolidó la independencia de la América Bolivariana. También fue el primer presidente de Bolivia.
En nuestra hermosa Cumaná se encuentra la iglesia de Santa Inés, la primera concatedral de Venezuela y que está al pie de la colina en donde se encuentra ubicado al castillo san Antonio de la eminencia. A su lado se encuentran las ruinas de el castillo de Santa María de la cabeza. Y al rededor hay calles y callejones que tienen una hermosa historia.
