Bodies that stand out in nature, among the haze of the beach and a rain that does not stop any distraction; it is the spell of the saltpeter.
A rainy day on the beach in Cata Bay presents a difficult scenario to portray, but captivating in a way that I remember strangely, I could almost say unsatisfactory, within the small frustrations of not being able to have exactly the result you want.
But it's a day at the beach. And no trace of rain will be able to finish it, the day only ends when the night arrives, an important reminder in these days where everything is night...
The important thing for me in these photographs is to be able to see in me the search for gestures, something that I think goes beyond the instant, that speaks more of an attraction than a search, I reach them by pure attention to movement, to the little stories that a simple gesture can tell.
I had never taken photographs in the port of Cata, children fall into the water, swim and jump again, carried away by this need for movement in photography I got a very interesting dynamism and attraction in these black waters of cloudy beach.
There is something that I have talked about in other of my beach photography posts regarding its quality of dominated space, that attitude of taking over this small space of sand, of the sea, and putting together our little mise-en-scene: our flag.
There is a lot of that attitude in these photographs, a risk without fear because you know that for this couple of hours you have to enjoy to the maximum this salt that will soon be removed.
