Lately, I've been paying a little less attention to my appearance. I wouldn't say I've let myself go; I'm just not as worried as I used to be about always looking perfect, and honestly, most of the time I'm pretty happy with that. I think it's also part of learning to feel comfortable in my own skin without feeling like I have to be all dolled up all the time.
But there are days when I do feel like paying more attention to those little details again. Today, for example, I put on some makeup before going out, and I felt great all day. Not because I needed to look different, but simply because I enjoyed looking put together again. I think it's okay to enjoy that too: taking care of yourself because you want to, not because you feel like you have to.
Últimamente he estado un poco menos pendiente de mi apariencia. No diría que me he descuidado, simplemente ya no estoy tan preocupada como antes por verme siempre impecable, y la verdad es que la mayoría del tiempo estoy bastante bien con eso. Creo que también es parte de aprender a sentirme cómoda conmigo misma sin sentir que tengo que estar arreglada todo el tiempo.
Pero hay días en los que sí me nace volver a prestar más atención a esos pequeños detalles. Hoy, por ejemplo, me puse un poco de maquillaje antes de salir y me sentí súper bien durante todo el día. No porque necesitara verme diferente, sino porque simplemente disfruté verme arreglada otra vez. Creo que también está bien disfrutar de eso: cuidarse porque quieres, no porque sientas que tienes que hacerlo.
Creo que lo importante es sentirte bien consigo mismo independientemente de como se esté. Claro tampoco es que se permita caer en el descuido extremo, tampoco habitar un estado obsesivo compulsivo por la prolijidad. Cómo dicen en mi pueblo: "ni tan calvo ni con dos pelucas". Jajaja tu eres bella con maquillaje o sin el. Así que tranquila.
