The good news just keeps on coming for HIVE
Bittrex just announced a couple of hours ago that they have added a couple new trading pairs for HIVE.
One of them should stand out more than the other...

That's right, HIVE now has a USD trading pair!
This is the first time that STEEM or HIVE have ever had a USD trading pair in all of their 4 year long history.
This is a very big deal...
Now users can buy HIVE directly by depositing cash into their Bittrex account. This was the holy grail for STEEM back in 2017-2018 that it never actually achieved.
Having a direct USD on/off ramp...

This is one of those announcements that may not sound like that big of a deal initially, but will likely payoff big time down the road.
Especially when it comes to trying to onboard new users to HIVE.
In my opinion this is one of the biggest developments for HIVE in its short history thus far.

Probably wouldn't be too difficult. It looks like their USD price is being based off of their BTC price on the exchange.
Are there examples of websites that have integrated some other USD pair from bittrex into their website. That would be very helpful to see in action.

Do you think this is why the chart for Hive suddenly died on tradingview? What exactly is going on with that?
I am not sure, but it's possible they are related if they are now moving their data feed to bittrex due to an actual USD listing... Is it still looking like that?
Its still kinda messed up but at least now it shows the value right now. It must be some kind of maintenance though.

This is awesome!! It was always so difficult to get steem/hive and I hated having to trade into other cryptos along the way racking up fees, etc.

I always wanted one such listing because trading against USD is better in stead of BTC, as BTC is more volatile. One quick question, how the price gets adjusted on different exchanges ? For example I heard JS is about to dump hive on Binance - how that impacts other exchanges and global price ?
This was unexpected but really incredible to see hive is achieving in such a short time community is the real power
