Huobi officially announces they will be listing the HIVE token
After the AMA yesterday with Huobi Global, the writing was on the wall.
It was only a matter of time until Huobi actually listed the HIVE token.
Well, that matter of time likely came sooner than most (me) expected.
Huobi Global officially announced last night that they would be listing HIVE as soon as tomorrow morning at 10:00 AM EST.

But wait, doesn't that say that the listing will take place at 10:00 AM on April 23rd (today)?
Technically the listing happened today as users are able to deposit HIVE, but the actual trading of the token will not take place until tomorrow.
The airdrop to STEEM holders happened today though and you are able to make deposits.
Interestingly enough there will be 3 trading pairs listed:
- HIVE/USDT
- HIVE/BTC
- HIVE/HT
Keep in mind that HIVE withdrawals will not be available until a later date according to the announcement.
But wait there's more...
They also announced they would Airdrop some HIVE on existing HIVE holders.

The terms are listed above, but it looks like the max you can receive is 1,000 HIVE from the Airdrop and you must be one of the top 100 largest NET depositors during the promotional period.
Also keep in mind that you must ID verify in order to qualify...
A bummer for many, Huobi Global does not currently accept US based users, though yesterday in the AMA they said they would be back in the US in the near future.

Unfortunately they are not. Though they said yesterday they hope to be back in the US in the near future.
Well that sucks! lol...None the less, it's great news if and when, they allow US users to trade...Also great for more liquidity for HIVE...Oh okay Doc...Thank you for your response:)

i lost $300 thanks to their PIN system and not doing KYC....not their fault! but now I am locked out of my account. Oh well, still glad and hope to see more of this to come! :-D Crazy momentum!
They are one of the better exchanges so keep up with them and hopefully you can retrieve your funds.
It's clear Huobi listed HIVE so they can manipulate the markets... This is same as with any exchange that promises airdrop but limits withdrawals.
They are after more commission fees and hey if they can run a coin and make some profits that way, they are all for it I'm sure!
I'm pretty sure they are using the commission fees to cover the loss from wash trading... Basically they are using two accounts to fulfill each others requests, so they are losing the amount equivalent to trading fee on those accounts exponentially.
