Everything he knew about the sea, fish, boats, fishing and so on came from his life. The beach, the wind, the waves, the tides, the sea are things that he knows after his family and neighbors.
Observations that began with his feet first touching sea water, instincts triggered by blood derived from great fishermen, the experience he gained from various participation in various marine and fishing activities, have given him a myriad of unwritten knowledge, but recorded and engraved in his memory.
The two pictures here are when he was sorting fish. His deft hands revealed that he really knew about the fish. The fish he had just caught in the sea of the Gulf of Aceh with his boat.
He is now a fisherman. If life takes him to another field, he will also remain a fisherman. It was united in his flesh and blood.
All of these pictures were taken in a fishing village, called Lambada Lhoek, in Aceh.
