Exploration On HIVE & What To Do?

in GEMS4 years ago (edited)

My second day looking around the new HIVE and also @peakd interface. I am in love with how @peakd has to offer. It is not only convenient to use @peakd but also I can get transparency and sufficient data for me to gauge my account performance.

Yesterday, I had the chance to hop in the Facebook Live session hosted by @bitrocker2020, @danieldoughty and @zord189. Though I did not get into right from the start yet I could pick up some really helpful information at the end of the session.

Useful Tools On HIVE

Here are some of the list of sites that is the duplicate of Steem ecosystem that I used to utilize and manage my account:

1 - https://hiveblocks.com or https://www.hiveblockexplorer.com/ (https://www.steemd.com)
You can check your activities, key permissions, reputations, and basically everything here. All activities are recorded in the block and you can refer here.

2 - https://hive.vote (https://steemauto.com)
A useful tool for users who want to automate their voting and curating activities while they are not online doing that themselves. I found it useful as I could not be all the time up here and definitely have limited time to go through contents around both sides.

3 - https://esteem.app/
A useful mobile app that I started to used quite frequent recently. It is the masterpiece of @good-karma and I love how he improved the app. The interface is great btw!

4 - https://peakd.com/
I found it very comprehensive using this interface and I am still exploring what it has to offer! Simply amazed me.

5 - https://blocktrades.us/en/
An essential tool for us to chip in or chip out from Steem or HIVE ecosystem.

6 - https://hive-now.com (https://steemnow.com)
This is to check your activities especially your voting power and also estimated reward.

7 - https://hive.blog (https://steemit.com)
This is both the official blog site for HIVE and Steemit.

8 - https://tasteem.io
This is where I post about food which also earns me a very handsome sum of reward. However, due to the pandemic, we are all constraint at home and it is hard to post up here. I am wondering whether @tasteem is going to move to HIVE or not.

9 - Keychain For Hive (Link)
This is what @littlenewthings taught me on getting my HIVE key registered on this Keychain and it is more convenient later on to log in any of the platform. It appears to be very convenient!

Reason To Stay

1 - Compounding Effect

First started since 2017 and had been blogging until now, experienced the compounding effect of keeping a habit. At the very first few posts, I still remembered that I have totally no idea what to post and ending up posting photos like how I did on Instagram. After that, I was in contact with different communities that led me to get into more productive and quality writing like @teammalaysia, @ocd and many more groups. Not only I get to compound what I write and get better on that, but I also could accumulate Steem and SBD. I still remembered how this inspired me to generate a side income for me while I am doing my day job. However, the price dropped to the bottom and this had really affected how I perceive this sidekick. Yet, I still kept my presence here (though it is less frequent than before) and aims to get the habit back on track again.

2 - Meet New People

This is definitely one of the most exciting to be in here. Being in this ecosystem, I get to know a different kind of people ranging from people who are doing business, professionals, artists, blockchain experts and so on! There are just so many people I get to come across and interact with. Most importantly, the experience shared together is something memorable and invaluable. Frankly speaking, the people I met here, some we keep in touch until now, some we had not been in touch for some time but I am still going through what they are posting. Feel free to hit me up as I would definitely like to get updates from you all :)

3 - A Virtual Diary

Keeping a diary about myself is always what I wanted to do. Yet, I had failed to do so continuously which I also get fed up. This is the reality and I am starting to acknowledge that while trying to see what are the ways to get myself moving into a daily diary recording habit. Honestly speaking, having a diary is something like expressing our thoughts and feeling at that very moment. By doing so, it actually helps me to think straight and get a clearer perspective of what is happening around. That is also where I started to think about my career path and taking a leap to go on for self-employment at the very end of 2019.

In overall, I think this is a place to stay and keep explore and improve the ecosystem together. People are still here for the better change and of course hoping for the "moon shot" to happen. Despite the long wait, we are here to make friends and exchange ideas. We never know that we may be collaborating with one another in the future and creating a multi million company together!

That's right! We got to continue to see how the Hive chain itself can benefit MORE that its current state for the entire community; and we really still do need to see what else can we enhance in this (yet fully explored) ecosystem.

Ya for now, Buzz On while staying safe at home

All of us are. haha. Sometimes I feel I am busier at home than in the office. haha
