El ser humano siempre ha manifestado su deseo por ser libre, es algo natural el querer hacer lo que nos plazca, asumiendo toda la responsabilidad de nuestros actos. No hay nada más deplorable que experimentar la privación de libertad, nos pone en un estado bastante penoso, desesperado, de impotencia y también nos hace retroceder, pues volvemos al tiempo de la esclavitud que ya expiró hace mucho.
The human being has always manifested his desire to be free, it is something natural to want to do what we please, assuming full responsibility for our actions. There is nothing more deplorable than experiencing the deprivation of freedom, it puts us in a very painful, desperate state of helplessness and also makes us go back, because we return to the time of slavery that has already expired long ago.
Mencionar a la esclavitud es irse al otro extremo, sí, pero lo menciono porque representa lo opuesto del tema.
To mention slavery is to go to the other extreme, yes, but I mention it because it represents the opposite of the subject.
El libre albedrío se considera una doctrina de la filosofía que atribuye la causa de la conducta a nuestra voluntad y la decisión independiente de cada quien, sin ser influenciada por cualquier agente externo, en otra palabras, se trata de la toma de decisiones que hace cada quien según su juicio y de manera individual.
Free will is considered a doctrine of philosophy that attributes the cause of behavior to our will and the independent decision of each one, without being influenced by any external agent, in other words, it is the decision making that each one makes according to his judgment and individually.
Aunque es cierto que en la actualidad gozamos de esta anhelada libertad, desde que somos pequeños nuestros mayores (los que se preocupan por nosotros) nos guían por el "mejor camino" según su propio juicio, basándose en sus experiencias y espectativas, esperando que sea suficiente para cuando llegue el momento de tomar nuestras propias decisiones.
Although it is true that nowadays we enjoy this longed-for freedom, since we are small our elders (those who care about us) guide us along the "best path" according to their own judgment, based on their experiences and expectations, hoping that it will be enough for when the time comes to make our own decisions.
El primer momento donde podemos decir que realmente experimentamos parte de la libertad, es cuando somos conscientes de lo que es bueno y de lo que se considera algo malo. Al tener esto claro (aún cuando nuestra personalidad se esta desarrollando) podemos decir que actuamos a voluntad teniendo presente que cada acto genera una consecuencia y debemos asumirlas, ese es el costo de la libertad.
The first moment where we can say that we really experience part of freedom is when we are aware of what is good and what is considered bad. Having this clear (even when our personality is still developing) we can say that we act at will bearing in mind that every act generates a consequence and we must assume them, that is the cost of freedom.
Sin importar nuestra procedencia, nuestra cultura y tradiciones, estamos en la constante lucha de demostrar nuestra individualidad, a pesar de las muchas reglas que existan siempre oponemos cierta resistencia a las cosas, porque aunque no decidimos donde nacemos ni de donde provenimos, si tenemos la libertad de escoger hacía donde vamos y de permanecer donde queramos hacerlo.
Regardless of our origin, our culture and traditions, we are in the constant struggle to demonstrate our individuality, despite the many rules that exist we always oppose some resistance to things, because although we do not decide where we are born or where we come from, we do have the freedom to choose where we go and to stay where we want to do it.
Muchas personas asocian la libertad con el egoísmo, porque no ven más allá de lo que esta en frente de ellos y se limitan a hacer y aceptar solo lo que los hace sentir cómodos, sin tomar en cuenta los intereses de los demás poniendo siempre en primer lugar su bienestar. Este tipo de personas pueden molestar a muchos, pero de eso se trata la individualidad, en tomar deciciones en función de quien eres y lo que quieres.
Many people associate freedom with selfishness, because they do not see beyond what is in front of them and limit themselves to do and accept only what makes them feel comfortable, without taking into account the interests of others, always putting their own well-being first. These types of people may bother many, but that is what individuality is all about, making decisions based on who you are and what you want.
El libre albedrío fue lo mejor que le pudo pasar a la humanidad, porque así no hay excusas en nuestras acciones, porque aún influenciadas por otros, la cultura, nuestros padres y tradiciones, al final los que tienen la última palabra somos nosotros mismos, nadie más. Cada persona decide hacía donde se quiere dirigir teniendo en cuenta sus propias circunstancias, límites y demás.
Free will was the best thing that could happen to humanity, because then there are no excuses in our actions, because even influenced by others, culture, our parents and traditions, in the end those who have the last word are ourselves, no one else. Each person decides where they want to go taking into account their own circumstances, limits and so on.
