Today I decided to join the @oigres initiative in which they ask us which is our favorite month and the reasons why we consider it so. I take the opportunity to invite @luiyi-22 and @sacra97.
The truth is that I can tell you that my favorite month is July..
But... Why?...
En Venezuela es una costumbre que el mes de Julio, sea reconocido como el "mes de las vacacione". Para esta fecha las escuelas, universidades y algunos trabajos ya están terminando sus ultimas actividades para dar un pequeño plazo de tiempo libre.
In Venezuela it is a custom that the month of July, is recognized as the "vacation month". For this date the schools, universities and some jobs are already finishing their last activities to give a little time off.
Desde muy pequeña, esperaba que llegará este día, pues siempre solíamos ir a conocer un lugar nuevo, o íbamos al rio, a visitar a la familia y a realizar otras actividades que se hicieran costumbre.
Since I was very little, I was waiting for this day to come, because we always used to go to see a new place, or go to the river, to visit the family and to do other activities that became a habit.
También esperaba con ansias esos días de levantarme tarde y dormir tarde, donde podía hacer tarea sin necesidad de apuros, era demasiado divertido realmente.
I also looked forward to those days of getting up late and sleeping late, where I could do homework without rushing, it was too much fun really.
Pero lo mas emocionante de todo era cuando este mes se empezaba a acabar, pues las mamás empezaban a alistarnos para el regreso a clases, lo que significaba ir a comprar los uniformes y los útiles, pero también dar un repaso a los últimos contenidos para refrescar la memoria.
But the most exciting of all was when this month began to end, as moms began to get ready for back to school, which meant going shopping for uniforms and supplies, but also reviewing the latest content to refresh our memory.
