I always thought that “self-confidence” was about social behaviour. For example, speaking openly in front of a group or being included in a dialogue even if not invited or maybe expressing my desires selfishly. I was at a point where I viewed all these as protecting my individual being.
After thinking about it for a while, now I believe that self-confidence must be the result of some kind of an internal balance. It is normal for my internal state to be influenced by external factors as well as by the results of my own behaviors, but there is a detail here. In such a cycle, my inner interventions in accordance with my own personal characteristics have a much more satisfying and effective weight on my balance than external factors. On the other hand, as an introvert, the behaviors I mentioned in the previous paragraph were already exhausting to me.
The new angle I gained about self-confidence, however, is much more related to how well I know myself throughout my daily life. What are my strong traits? What are my weak traits? When, where, and how do I use these traits? Using which traits makes me feel good? And beyond all that, how do I handle my weaknesses? Can I turn them into an advantage? What am I feeling right now? Giving honest answers to questions like these in my inner dialogue is what actually builds my self-confidence.
Of course, the answers will differ depending on the person. The good and the bad may be different for someone else. But in my opinion, what matters most here is how honestly I can look at myself. The more honest I am, the more likely I am to resonate with a flow. A flow which is a state of being deeply engaged in the moment you're in… Doing something while losing track of time, feeling joy without getting tired, and continuing. I think self-confidence is about consciously reaching the flow while being aware of character.
If we live through what life brings each day with an awareness of our self, listening to the responses while acting, I believe that’s when we truly trust ourselves.
I identified six qualities I see in myself and turned them into a dice. Each day, I roll my dice and choose a trait to focus on. Like a game. Throughout the day, I try to actively use that trait.

Before writing this post, the dice landed on “sensible.” I suppose that’s the true source of this piece.
