This simple project will be done for my beautiful 3 year old granddaughter.

As I said, it is a simple project that I hope will be to your liking, considering that I am not a sewing professional, but; I wanted to take risks and demonstrate what I am capable of creating motivated by my granddaughter.

This is a boy's size 6 shirt, which at the time belonged to his cousin Oscar Rafael, it no longer works for him and I found it very beautiful for this project and will continue to be useful and of much benefit for a while for Miranda Valentina.

Step 2

Take measurements: width of the chest and arms, to know the length of the elastic necessary for the transformation of the shirt.

📍 Measurements under the bust: 46 centimeters.

📍 Arms width measurements: 15 centimeters.

Step 3

Put the shirt inside out and fix the elastic well, with the help of the pins and then pass a straight seam in this case with the sewing machine, but you can also do it by hand.

Recommendation: use a thread of the same color as the garment.

Step 4

Cut 2 cm long from the two sleeves of the shirt, put the shirt inside out again, fix the elastic on each of the sleeves, so that it is hidden with the seam. This will give them a wrinkled sleeve look.

Recommendation: Check the finish and cut the excess threads, so that there is a clean seam and then iron the dress.

Step 5

With the excess fabric cut from the sleeves of the shirt I made a tail for the girl's hair, it will be a nice accessory for the dress.
