Lo sé, lo sé, suena muy exagerado y un poco cursi, pero es la única forma que encuentro para describir a este increíble Poodle llamado “Shagui” que me acompañó por 5 años. Hoy estaba revisando viejas fotos, y me encontré con éstas, así que decidí compartir en #Hive su historia.
I know, I know, it sounds very exaggerated and a bit cheesy, but it is the only way I can find to describe this incredible Poodle called "Shagui" who accompanied me for 5 years. Today I was going through old photos, and I came across these, so I decided to share their story on #Hive.
Desde que tengo memoria, recuerdo que cada Navidad mi deseo era tener un perrito, lo pedía siempre; y no fue sino hasta que en Diciembre del 2009, mi mamá me trae un cachorro y dice: Quiero que sepas que él es tu regalo, es para ti.
Since I can remember, I remember that every Christmas I desired to have a puppy, I always asked for it; And it wasn't until December 2009, when my mom brings me a puppy and says: I want you to know that he is your gift, he is for you.
Así mi deseo se volvió realidad, adoptamos a ese increíble perrito, que requería mucho cariño y cuidados: mezclar comida con leche, jugar con él en la madrugada, al escucharlo llorar ir a acompañarlo, enseñarle dónde hacer sus necesidades; todas esas tareas para mí eran lo mejor que podía tener, yo quería pasar cada minuto del día con él.
So my wish came true, we adopted that incredible puppy, who required a lot of love and care: mixing food with milk, playing with him at dawn, hearing him cry going to accompany him, teach him where to relieve himself; All those tasks for me were the best I could have, I wanted to spend every minute of the day with him.
Siempre diré que es un ángel, porque desde le primer día no hizo “travesuras”, no destrozó nada en la casa, y simplemente le encantaba jugar y dar besitos; es por ello, que todo era muy fácil con él.
I will always say that he is an angel, because from the first day he did not do "mischief", he did not destroy anything in the house, and he simply loved to play and give kisses; That is why everything was very easy with him.
Con el paso del tiempo, se convirtió en mi mejor amigo, y compañía, le contaba todo, sin importar que no me respondiera con palabras. Él amaba a todos en casa, por eso fue muy difícil cuando en mis brazos un día tuvo una convulsión, así descubrimos, que era epiléptico .
with time, he became my best friend, and company, I told him all, no matter that he did not answer me with words. He loved everyone at home, that's why it was very difficult when he had a seizure in my arms one day, so we discovered that he was epileptic
Años más tarde, se presentó otra complicación que requería operarlo (2 veces de la cadera), lamentablemente el problema era irreparable, por ello una mañana despertó sin poder mover sus patitas de atrás. Al llevarlo al veterinario, mencionó que no existía operación segura para su problema, podría morir en plena cirugía o incluso seguir viviendo con ese dolor, y de verdad estaba sufriendo mucho.
Years later, there was another complication that required surgery (2 times on the hip), unfortunately, the problem was irreparable, so one morning he woke up without being able to move his paws from behind. When taking him to the vet, he mentioned that there was no safe operation for his problem, he could die in the middle of surgery or even continue living with that pain, and he was really suffering a lot.
La decisión era muy difícil, pero sin duda no queríamos que sufriera más, así que lo pusimos a dormir; sólo alguien que pasa por una situación así, puede entenderlo, porque sin duda alguna no queríamos perderlo, pero nuestro amor por él era tan grande que entendimos que era la única solución para él.
The decision was very difficult, but we certainly didn't want him to suffer anymore, so we put him to sleep; Only someone who goes through such a situation can understand it, because without a doubt we did not want to lose him, but our love for him was so great that we understood that it was the only solution for him.
Día a día, lo recuerdo, porque sé que nos faltaron muchos años juntos, aún espero que al despertar lo consiga durmiendo en mi alfombra, o que cuando esté cortando zanahoria me ladre para darle un poco.
Sólo puedo dar gracias por haberlo tenido, y porque gracias a él descubrí, lo que es el verdadero amor: incondicional, eterno, reconfortante y sin duda alguna te da felicidad.
Day by day, I remember it, because I know that we were missing many years together, I still hope that when I wake up I will achieve it by sleeping on my carpet, or that when I´m cutting carrot he will bark to give him a little.
I can only give thanks for having had it, and because thanks to him I discovered what true love is: unconditional, eternal, comforting, and without a doubt, it gives you happiness.

Que bonito homenaje a Shagui, los animales de compañía se convierten en miembros valiosos de la familia, jamás nos juzgan y siempre están felices de vernos llegar, nos enseñan la lealtad y la verdadera amistad. Tu post no es cursi, es hermoso y donde este tu peludo, te cuida y espera por el reencuentro.
Que bonitas palabras; es así, son una parte fundamental de la familia en la que están! Yo también soy creyente de que en algún momento lo volveré a ver, muchas gracias ♥
