Old things

It's always good to keep some antique items, because they're said to be good luck. They are a representation of what our life was in other times, that's why for this entry of our friend @qurator in his publication of "Old things " I bring you a set of element in a photo.

Having an affinity for old things represents us as human beings worthy of a race, because we must always carry in our blood our past through love for certain objects. In the main picture we have a set of elements of old things, which are part of the life of my city.

Antique furniture.

They are very representative of the period, in which the model was almost the same, in addition to the shape and height. Nowadays it is very difficult to see this type of furniture, it is a relic to have them even at home, especially for Venezuelans.

The trunks.

This type of trunk was very much used by people to keep their personal things, it served them as a bank, since at that time people used to keep their funds in this type of trunk, besides that they were always at the foot of the bed of our ancestors.

Ancient costume.

The ancient costumes are a sensation, since they were part of the feminine dress in the antiquity, these were used with strong sashes that made them see with an extraordinary body, they were accompanied with funds and closed shoes. These dresses were perfectly combined with accessories such as: fans, decorated umbrellas and in opportunities with small handbags that some ladies of the society wore.

In the photographs we can appreciate some girls with some old suits with their accessories, all this was part of our roots and what today is not seen but remains. The pictures were taken in an annual gallery that is made in my land in commemoration of the birthday of the city, where it is exhibited part of what was the Cumana of before, with that reinforces the roots, many customs and cultures that today have been lost.

Talking about antiques today is a great challenge for the new generations, because many do not know the meaning of value that has each object, place and situation, that is why we seek to collect and help understand that all this is part of our past and gives us a summary of how our life was and how we have been evolving.

Everything has a history and a reason to live, that's why we must take care of and rescue our roots. Thanks to @qurator's initiative in the Monday mission to promote the theme of "Old Things".

Thanks to the initiative of @qurator we can revive part of our ancestor, imagining living even without the advance of technology, communication and electricity. Thank you for sharing with me.
