It is a well-known saying that "the shortest way to the heart is through the stomach", which originates from an outdated society in which women had to cook for men and keep them happy with their variety of dishes.

My mom took this very seriously. She had towers of cookbooks, and was the type to cut out the recipes that came on the back of flour packages. Her passion for making us happy with food even extended to desserts, and whenever it was time to eat she would prepare not one, but two kinds of dishes, since she was the only vegetarian in the family.

He knows how to create succulent dishes even when the fridge seems to be empty, and when he has some economic freedom he embarks on transcending his culinary frontiers, replicating Indian, Arab, Chinese, Japanese dishes and of any other culture that catches his interest.
Admiro su entusiasmo para la cocina y sus constantes ganas de innovar. Sabe crear platillos suculentos aún cuando la nevera parece estar vacía, y cuando tiene un poco de libertad económica se embarca en trascender sus fronteras culinarias, replicando manjares hindúes, árabes, chinos, japoneses y cualquier otra cultura que le genere interés.
As if that were not enough, he is not stingy with his knowledge. He likes to teach what he knows and share his recipes and latest discoveries. He even makes a point of teaching some things to me, so he can be sure that I will continue to eat well even when, for some reason of fate, he can't be by my side.
Como si fuera poco, no es mezquino con su conocimiento. Le gusta enseñar lo que sabe y compartir sus recetas y últimos descubrimientos. Incluso se empeña en enseñarme algunas cosas a mí, para tener la seguridad de que yo seguiré comiendo bien aún cuando, por alguna razón del destino, él no pueda estar a mi lado.
"Full belly, happy heart", is another famous phrase that I can apply to this story, and whose veracity I can vouch for, because every time Ender spoils me with his culinary expressions of love, it is as if my life is struck by a sparkling ray of happiness.
“Pancita llena, corazón contento”, es otra famosa frase que puedo aplicar en este tema, y de cuya veracidad doy garantía, porque cada vez que Ender me consiente con sus expresiones culinarias de amor, es como si a mi vida la impactara un chispeante rayito de felicidad.
