Impact of landscaping on natural human environment

Good morning hive community, I'm happy and grateful for the warm welcome given to me by the community through My introductory post. Thanks for creating time out of your busy schedules to welcome me, I feel love and glad to be here.

Special mention goes to users like @appreciator for there supports for newbies on the platform, with people like this in a community it will only get better.

What I will be writing on today is what I titled 'Impact of landscaping on natural human environment'.

Introduction

What do you understand by the term landscaping?

In layman term, landscaping is the act of either maintaining the natural look or addition of some materials with the aim of improving the natural environment.

We all in one way or the other practice landscaping everyday, ranging from soft landscaping (gardening) to hard landscaping (addition of concrete in the form of interlocking, fence and the likes).

Any activity that revamp, improve or change the outlook of the natural environment is what is called landscaping.

The two forms of landscaping

There are two forms of landscaping and they are soft and hard landscaping.

Soft landscaping

Soft landscaping is the act or process of improving the human environment with vegetal products such as ferns, edibles, flowers, shrubs, ornament and other vegetal materials.

This form of landscaping help to maintain cool serenity in the environment as it maintain balance atmosphere, and reduce air pollution by absorbing the toxic gasses in the air.

Growing of vegetals in the human environment also helps to control soil erosion and maintain balance noise level which on the long run have positive phychological effect on the human environment.

This form of landscaping is quite preferable by huticulturist because its the usage of natural products to enhance the natural environment and do not have any harmful effect on the human environment.
It's also easy to practice and not expensive.

Hard landscaping

The act of covering the earth surface with hard waterproof materials such as concrete, stone tiles and coal tar with the aim of improving it aesthetic appearance.

These materials will not allow water to enter into the soil and as a result enhance surface run off.
Hard landscaping give no room to erosion, encourage good drainage system maintenance and enhance the aesthetic look of the environment during raining season.

But at the same time, hard landscaping encourage flood in the environment and also emit heat that was absorb during the day in the night and this can have adverse effect on the lives of the residents.

Proper landscaping will not only enhance the aesthetic look of the human environment but also bring cool serenity which will produce positive psychological effect on the residents. So the impact of landscaping can never be over emphasis on the human environment, and it's something we should take time to practice day in day out in other to build aesthetical balance environment.
