Over the years, I have received really nice stuffs from different people and sometimes these acts make me question exactly what I was doing that warrant such act of kindness from them. But this year, during my birthday celebration, I received one of the finest gift in form of words. No doubt, I did share with you guys how I got different surprises from my students on my birthday but there is one surprise gift I got in form of words and it really touched my heart 💖

On my birthday, I received so many messages and wishes, but there is one that really touched me and I feel right now, this is one of my most memorable gift from anyone. One of my favourite Students, whom I have watched grow over the years, from her academic works to going to competitions and making other students cry during those competitions, also to discovering how much of an amazing writer she is, I have shared some of her work on my blog before, and right now, I am still trying to encourage her to pick up her own blog and start earning even before entering the university.
En mi cumpleaños, recibí tantos mensajes y deseos, pero hay uno que realmente me conmovió y siento en este momento, este es uno de mis regalos más memorables de parte de cualquiera. Back to the beautiful gift she sent to me, she wrote an amazing message and she sent it to my WhatsApp messenger on my birthday, to be honest, I literally felt this cold joyful feeling inside me as I read the message she sent to me, I was amazed at her words and that made me really happy. Our journey together began in ss1 when you became our new physics teacher. I was happy that we had a physics teacher but I had mixed feelings because then the school had a problem with physics teachers. But when u started teaching us, all those feelings disappeared. I don't know about the others but I felt comfortable with you. And as the weeks turned into months and months slowly transitioned into years, you gave us more reason to be comfortable with you. And I honestly think it's crazy how our class became this big family in just two years. You helped us become a better version of ourselves. I can see how much I've changed from that child in SS1 , to a young lady. I may still have a lot of things to work on but you have really inspired me to work hard be a better me.
So don't see this day as a year closer to your grave ohhh lol, see it as a new opportunity to continue inspiring younger minds as you have done for us.

Nuestro viaje juntos comenzó en ss1 cuando se convirtió en nuestro nuevo profesor de física. Estaba feliz de tener un profesor de física, pero tenía sentimientos encontrados porque entonces la escuela tenía un problema con los profesores de física. Pero cuando empezaste a enseñarnos, todos esos sentimientos desaparecieron. No sé de los demás, pero me sentí cómodo contigo. Y a medida que las semanas se convirtieron en meses y los meses se convirtieron lentamente en años, nos diste más razones para sentirnos cómodos contigo. Y, sinceramente, creo que es una locura cómo nuestra clase se convirtió en una gran familia en solo dos años. Nos ayudaste a convertirnos en una mejor versión de nosotros mismos. Puedo ver cuánto he cambiado de ese niño en SS1 a una joven. Puede que todavía tenga muchas cosas en las que trabajar, pero realmente me has inspirado a trabajar duro para ser mejor yo. That message melted my heart and I must say, it's clearly a gift I will always read to remind myself that I'm doing something right and should not stop doing that. Myself and Odomero bonded so well when I started teaching in my current place of work, I don't know why, but there is this connection I have with her and her family members. If one can be a parent to another person's child, I'd gladly accept the role of a father to this wonderful young lady. Thanks to her for those kind words, I'm proud to be an inspiration to such a wonderful mind.
Ese mensaje derritió mi corazón y debo decir, claramente es un regalo que siempre leeré para recordarme a mí mismo que estoy haciendo algo bien y no debo dejar de hacerlo. Odomero y yo nos unimos tan bien cuando comencé a enseñar en mi lugar de trabajo actual, no sé por qué, pero existe esta conexión que tengo con ella y los miembros de su familia. Si uno puede ser padre del hijo de otra persona, con mucho gusto aceptaría el papel de padre de esta maravillosa joven. Gracias a ella por esas amables palabras, estoy orgulloso de ser una inspiración para una mente tan maravillosa.
