GOOD MORNING HIVERS

I really appreciate the warm welcome I received yesterday in my introduction post and I'm so glad to be here once again.

In this post I will be showing you how I made a double breasted pick lapel blazer with a single sleet, the fabric colour is Emerald green.

MATERIALS USED

  • Fabric (Irish material)
  • Airstay
  • Thread
  • Warden
  • Shoulder pads
  • Collar stay
  • Linen

THE CUTTING PROCESS

I used 5 pieces of pattern to make the blazer

  • The hand which comprises of two patterns

  • The Front

  • The Back

  • The Side

After cutting the fabrics into those pieces of patterns making use of the person's measurements, I applied airstay to the fabrics to ensure smooth sewing before I start the sewing proper.

SEWING PROCESS

I started my sewing by joining the fronts with the sides, ironed it, then fixed the pockets (the chest and the side pockets),Joining the backs together.
After these had been done separately and well ironed, then I joined them together.

Thereafter I joined the hand and fixed to the body, adding Warden and shoulder pads.

Then I fixed the collar and the linen. After all these had been done then I ironed to bring out the shape and ready to wear.

I used hours trying to put this well crafted blazer together using my industrial machine.

Final look
