After 2 months in an Airbnb accommodation, which is nice on a hill in Sosua-Dominican Republic. Surrounded by cow pastures, meadows, and fields. It's time to say goodbye, slowly but surely, because we're going back to Mexico...back to Playa del Carmen.
The villa was amazing we had our own little space, our little apartment! but could use all the advantages of the villa, pool, large outdoor area, which was ideal for working!
The garden of the villa is a dream, with the most colorful flowers wherever you look! It's so beautiful what nature can grow for beautiful plants😍
Everywhere little geckos where you just look... they crawled around everywhere.
We had a good time here, I remember lots of drinking game nights with the other people a private concert, we had a good time with the other people here.
Good conversations, and a lot of fun!
Of course, what I will also miss a lot in Playa is driving around with the scooter😪 we don't need one there, because we have everything in front of the door. I loved driving around and letting the wind blow through my hair 😄
There's only one thing I won't miss, the villa's giant guard dog "Gin", after 8 weeks he's still barking at us and putting up the fence when we come! He's just too big for my taste...and he smells a little! Sorry, not sorry Gin. But the name is really funny...the other dogs in the neighborhood, are called "Tequilla" or "beer, because of this his name is "Gin".
In addition to all the alcohol,we also worked a lot! The place was perfect for just writing at the pool after work or a little nap in the sun! But as beautiful as the nature was here, after 2 months we now need a bit of city life and party, party party 🤠And playa del carmen is perfect for that! Here in the area, you could not do so much, there was a small "downtown" but not much was going on!
I've always thought I'd like to live in the village, far and wide only nature! but actually, it's too boring in the long run... I think it was more my wish because I've always lived in the city and didn't know life in the country at all! But if there's nothing to experience around it, you're missing something too! I'm definitely missing something..I think the mix is good...close to the city and the benefits of city life and living where it's a bit greener and I can definitely grow some veggies and herbs. But well, now I can't wait until we're finally back in Playa and we can finally do Paaaarty. Being able to go to the beautiful organic stores and I can finally go back to my beloved flea market 😍😍 I'm looking forward to our beautiful apartment without sharing it with people, I'm looking forward to the advantages of an aircon etc etc
Everything has its advantages and disadvantages, if you miss one thing, you miss the other, that's how it is in life! In any case, I will continue to take you with me and show you how life can be in Playa del Carmen..
But until then, we're here in Sosua for the last few days, working and relaxing a bit....
