September to Remember

in GEMS • 9 days ago

Hi dear bloggers and everyone in the community, welcome to October! Time flies—September has come to an end, and now we’re already starting the first day of a new month. Even though the month began with heavy rain, many of my plans went smoothly.

This past September, it rained often and the winds were quite strong where I live, how about you all? Stay safe, everyone. This September was quite memorable because it was my most memorable vacation of the year. For the first time, I went trekking in the forest and encountered real orangutans in their natural habitat. I enjoyed the beauty of nature that I wouldn’t find in the middle of the city and savored fresh fruit on a hot day after a night of rain.

Then I tried cooking cute and adorable dishes like these duck-shaped rice balls and enjoyed sweet treats like ice cream and this chocolate cheesecake—a cheesecake that went viral where I live because its shape resembles the cheese from the Tom and Jerry cartoon. It reminds me of my childhood.

Then, at the end of September, it rained all day here start from morning until evening. The rain lingered, creating a touching scene as the leaves glistened with raindrops. This is how I remember this past September. That's all for today, welcome to October...

Wow, it hasn't rained at all in Denpasar yet.
That duck rice looks so cute! It would be perfect for a school lunchbox.

Wah, it rains a lot here, and we’ve been having strong winds pretty often lately in Medan. Hahaha thank you, of course, once I have kids of my own, I think I’ll be packing this rice duck for their school lunches quite often 😁

You know, I read that heavy rain has already started falling outside of Bali. Here, though, we haven't had heavy rain like the other areas yet.

Really? Does this happen often in Bali? Even though it’s the rainy season, right?

The rainy season might just be late arriving in Bali. 😅 As far as I recall, this is the longest dry season.

But it doesn’t seem so bad, either people vacationing there must be happy about this longer dry season. Hopefully it will rain soon in Bali.

Yes, of course people prefer vacationing during the dry season rather than dealing with rain all day long. It’s just sad to see so many plants withering and drying up. There have even been numerous fires lately in various locations—whether in residential areas or on vacant lots overgrown with dry grass.
