Welcome to the 7th round of my special photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)
NOTE: SEE THE UPDATED RULES BELOW THAT TAKE THE CURRENT CORONAVIRUS SITUATION INTO CONSIDERATION.
I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.
The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now. The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)
Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. However, the prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.
I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:
Only one entry per person per round.
The photo must be yours and not older than one week.
Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.
RULES UPDATE: CONSIDERING THE FACT THAT MANY PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD HAVE TO STAY AT HOME NOW, YOUR ENTRY CAN BE OLDER THAN ONE WEEK. PREFERABLY A NATURAL PHOTO THAT YOU TOOK NOT LONG BEFORE THE OUTBREAK OF THE PANDEMIC.
You can start submitting your entries to this round from now until the next round. Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.
I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. Also, I haven´t reserved a fixed day for this challenge yet so it might be movable but it will definitely be hosted once every week.
To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round.
Just like most of you, unfortunately, I have been spending much more time indoor than outdoor recently so I have to use a photo that I took a couple of weeks ago. I captured this shot of lush green micro world in Calderia Velha, a little but beautiful nature reserve famous for hot springs and waterfalls that is located in the central part of the Sao Miguel Island, Azores, Portugal.
In the last round, we only had 6 participants so picking those 3 winners was not very difficult.

I have been on Koh Samui island for almost a week now away from the big city of Bangkok i wanted to spend my time of isolation on this beautiful island amongst beautiful nature and a beach i can run along this is one of the views of this beautiful beach called Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui island.

This photo was taken on 03.23.2020 on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. Thick pine trees grow directly from the sand. Great sunny day. This is real spring. Take care of your health :-)

Man, round 7 and only now my first participation. What a flaw! Thanks for the shout! And since quarantine keeps me from roaming around, here's a photo from my last vacations, at the end of February. It had been too long since I went skying, and finally I remembered how it was to go down the slopes! Photo taken somewhere in Baquera-Beret, Spain, looking at the snowy mountains as the sun was on its way down.

Today at work while digging an old tree stump in the middle of the cemetery, we came across the wintering ground of one of the largest beetles living in the Czech Republic Rhinoceros Beetle (Oryctes nasicornis). Since this beetle is protected by law, we interrupted the work and returned the beetles back underground.

Super, dík. Ten nosorožík je fakt parádní, ani jsem nevěděl, že v ČR taky žijou. Já je zatím viděl jen v Kolumbii.
Žijou skoro po celým světě, ale u nás jsou menší maximálně 12 cm.
In times when almost everywhere there is quarantine, lockdown, emergency measures, going out is not impossible but not advisable. However, there are always ways to admire the nature even from a distance, like I did. Well, it was short distance, as I took a photo of the top of the tree that grows in front of my window. These are new buds, opening and turning into leaves. The photo is from this morning. The tree is horse chestnut.

Předevčírem jsem fotil něco podobnýho, jen s fialovou kytičkou a omrzlou trávou, ale pořád se učím s novým telefonem a tak jsem si to zapoměl přepnout na makro a tak to mám rozmazaný :(
Mám "Šaomi"6. Když fotím něco podobného, tak buď přepínám na ruční nastavení nebo dávám makročočku. Tohle bylo na "růčo" a fokus 8
I don't want to make you people upset or jealous but i got to say i am still here on this beautiful island paradise called Koh Samui in Thailand and everyday i look out at that beautiful ocean and i thank God how lucky i am to be living another day in this paradise it's been just over three weeks now and the day i have to leave this paradise to head back to the big city , it's surely going to break my heart. Hope you guys are all doing good stay safe , healthy and strong 💪 😊 👍
