There are many things which are dangerous for humans. Still they likes to play with them. No matter what could be the outcome. Our great scholar Chanakya pinpointed six of such vulnerable things which could proved to be very dangerous for human being. He described them in following sanskrit phrases.
अग्निरापः स्त्रियो मूर्खाः सर्पा राजकुलानि च |
नित्यं यत्नेन सेव्यानि सद्यः प्राणहराणि षट् ||
The shlokas can be read in English as :
Agniraapah striyo moorkhaah sarpo raajakulaani Cha.
Nityam yatnena sevyaani sadyah praanaharaani shat.
Agni + aapah. Agni = fire. Aapah = water. Striyo = women.
Moorkhaah = foolish persons.
Sarpo = snakes.
Raajakulaani = royal families.
Cha = and.
Nityam = always.
Yatnena = with special care.
Sevyaani = to be taken care of. Sadyah = instantly.
Praanaharaani = threatening life. Shat= six.
Chanakya through these lines wants to convey that, a person should handle or deal with fire, water, women,foolish, snakes and Royal families with special care,because all these six are capable of instantly taking away or threatening to life.
A fire can burn us, water can drown us, a women has always a multi faced, likewise one can not understand snakes behaviour, so does a foolish person and rich royal family who doesn't value anyone. As a child, we were always warned to stay away from water and fire, but as I m growing up slowly, I can relate others too, how each of them can be dangerous.
