¿Qué tal? Hoy quiero unirme a la iniciativa de @maryed que consiste en compartir nuestro top 5 de videos musicales favoritos.
Para mí, un buen video musical es aquél acompañado de una buena canción, por supuesto, y que sea en sí mismo inolvidable por lo cómico que es, la coreografía, la historia o cualquier otro toque único que haga que en ocasiones la canción necesite ser acompañada por el vídeo porque ambos se complementan muy bien.
Mi top 5 es:
What's up? Today I want to join @maryed's initiative to share our top 5 favorite music videos.
For me, a good music video is one that is accompanied by a good song, of course, and that is in itself unforgettable because of how funny it is, the choreography, the story or any other unique touch that makes that sometimes the song needs to be accompanied by the video because both complement each other very well.
My top 5 is:
Chandelier - Sia
Creo que este video es inolvidable. Por supuesto, lo más llamativo del video es su coreografía, diferente, casi abstracta. No quiero decir que Sia haya sido pionera de esta idea pero para el momento de su estreno pocas veces yo había visto algo similar.
Otro acierto fue su protagonista, Maddie Ziegler, que es muy talentosa y en este vídeo nos mostró otra faceta de ella y su habilidad para interpretar una coreografía, de adueñarse del papel. El video en general transmite mucho, en la música, la letra, la voz, el baile, y creo que Sia y Maddie hicieron una excelente combinación para que esto fuera posible.
I think this video is unforgettable. Of course, the most striking thing about the video is its choreography, different, almost abstract. I don't want to say that Sia was the pioneer of this idea, but at the time of its release I had rarely seen anything similar.
Another success was her protagonist, Maddie Ziegler, who is very talented and in this video she showed us another facet of her and her ability to interpret a choreography, to take ownership of the role. The video in general transmits a lot, in the music, the lyrics, the voice, the dance, and I think Sia and Maddie made an excellent combination to make this possible.
Blow - Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars y Chris Stapleton
Este video tiene muchos puntos ganados. En primer lugar es una canción muy buena. Recuerdo que cuando la escuché por primera vez quedé sorprendida de oír a Ed y a Bruno en este género más rockero pero los tres hacen una combinación genial.
La canción es enérgica, sexy y las modelos del video lo representan: son chicas sensuales, empoderadas, a las que no les puedes quitar la mirada ni un segundo. El vídeo no tiene muchas escenas, se da en un mismo lugar pero la combinación de la luces, el público y los acercamientos de la cámara te hacen sentir en un concierto de rock real y posiblemente, sin que te des cuenta, moverás la cabeza de adelante hacia atrás en algún momento.
This video has a lot of winning points. First of all it is a very good song. I remember when I first heard it I was surprised to hear Ed and Bruno in this more rock genre but the three of them make a great combination.
The song is energetic, sexy and the models in the video represent it: they are sexy, empowered girls that you can't take your eyes off for a second. The video doesn't have many scenes, it takes place in the same place but the combination of the lights, the audience and the close-ups of the camera make you feel like you're in a real rock concert and possibly, without even realizing it, you'll be shaking your head back and forth at some point.
Single Ladies - Beyoncé
Díganme ustedes si este vídeo no ha marcado la historia de la música. Los reto a que canten esta canción sin hacer la coreografía; spoiler alert: no se puede.
Aunque el video pueda ser un tanto "sencillo", la canción es muy buena, y la coreografía también, siendo Beyoncé y las otras dos bailarinas muy enérgicas lo que hace un vídeo bastante entretenido. Simple, Beyoncé es fabulosa.
Tell me if this video has not marked the history of music. I dare you to sing this song without doing the choreography; spoiler alert: you cannot.
While the video may be somewhat "simple", the song is very good, and the choreography is very good, with Beyoncé and the other two dancers being very energetic which makes for a very entertaining video. Simple, Beyoncé is fabulous.
You Belong With Me - Taylor Swift
Otro vídeo que seguramente todos hemos visto. Esto es lo que yo llamo una "mini película" bien lograda porque cuenta una historia clara y que te engancha en pocos minutos.
Aunque es la típica historia del chico lindo y popular que es el crush de su amiga (vecina) que es menos popular y considerada "nerd" y al final terminan juntos, la verdad es una historia muy muy linda y para la época era el sueño de todas tener una historia de amor así.
Another video we've probably all seen. This is what I call a well done "mini movie" because it tells a clear story that hooks you in just a few minutes.
Although it is the typical story of the cute and popular boy who is the crush of his friend (neighbor) who is less popular and considered "nerdy" and in the end they end up together, the truth is a very cute story and for the time it was everyone's dream to have a love story like this.
Somebody To Love - Queen
Esta puede ser mi elección más diferente de las anteriores. Esta canción es, por supuesto, un super hit, una de las más reconocidas de Queen. Pero lo que me atrapa de su video es ver al grupo cantando juntos. Hasta hace poco fue que me adentré un poco más en el mundo de Queen y a saber más sobre ellos, y antes de eso pensaba que Freddy Mercury era el único responsable de las voces que oía en las canciones, así que ver a Brian y a Roger (porque John aparece poco) cantar y oír como sus voces juntas suenan increíbles, es algo que me gusta mucho del video.
This may be my most different choice from the previous ones. This song is, of course, a super hit, one of Queen's most recognizable songs. But what gets me about their video is seeing the group singing together. It wasn't until recently that I got a bit more into the world of Queen and learning more about them, and before that I thought Freddy Mercury was solely responsible for the voices I heard in the songs, so seeing Brian and Roger (because John appears very little) sing and hearing how their voices together sound amazing, is something I really like about the video.

¡Hasta que por fin veo un vídeo de Queen en esta iniciativa! jaja. Muy buen Top, Andrea...todos estos vídeos han sido súper sonados y súper reproducidos. Recuerdo no dejar de ver el vídeo de You Belong With Me, es uno de mi favoritos de Taylor en su etapa Country. Y qué decir de Chandelier, me disfruto demasiado esta coreografía...Maddie Ziegler es una bailarina excelente.
