RE: 🔥 The Twitter Hustler Weekly Contest for 100 Hive (Week 1 Aug. 31 - Sept. 6) 🔥

in GEMS4 years ago

Hey Stellabelle, are you the one who is in charge of #hivechat? on twitter?

You could use that as a sort of joe rogan style podcast to engage about larger crypto subjects, with a tangent about how HIVE answers that issue.

Censorship, Blacklisting, Gas Fees, ERC20s and Uniswap, Shopify Crypto Stores using Coinbase Commerce with ETH, or even some of the technical details of HIVE with the hard fork.

Or you could build on what Crim is doing with Synthwave weekly show - Sort of like Crim talks about NSFW artwork and content on HIVE - and then you could reach out with a follow up riff - sort of like -- Who is the tops on Dporn, and who is the tops on SPankchain, and what sort of erotic artists / models / indie pornographers are using cryptocurrencies as a part of their business models, and how does that relate to the rest of the crypto ecosystem, or how does that relate to NFTShowroom, or the launch of Xude?

Sort of like a HIVE Cointelegraph, i'd guess, if you're interested in those sorts of more in depth conversations. Then, you could sort of build up some experience and do more 'project based' work - and maybe even get picked up as a HIVE Correspondent for Cointelegraph, if your content is solid.

Sort of build up @crimsonclad and @kommienezuspadt stand on their shoulders and primarily use CryptoTwitter as your platform.

I just like running my mouth with ideas of what other people could try to do.

Have a good day. I'm going to do some painting.

Sort:

@jeanlucsr originated the #HiveChat, a weekly Twitter chat, and I began organizing the hosts for it. Technically, it's @jeanlucsr's baby.
The host each week is from the Hive community and they get to ask whatever questions they want, and set the time.

We follow the standard Twitter chat guidelines: 5 questions are asked, with a graphic card, and a new question is asked every ten minutes.

About the ideas you have, i may not be the right person to be honest, as I am not into the dporn scene at all. I'm not into erotic artists/models either, so this is probably not my cup of tea.

i have never worked with Crim either. The only time we crossed paths was in NFT Showroom, as I provided a lot of feedback on UX improvements, and asked multiple times when the nft showroom website would be upgraded with better design.

I'm organizing the #HiveChat now and doing it in a way that i become obsolete and it begins to run itself, with the Hive community as the main focus.....right now I am just focusing on this, plus working with @roomservice on the #JoinHive campaign which starts Sept. 1. I will need a lot of help in the Hive Marketing discord with this, as it will be very intensive.

My main focus has been on creating a way to onboard new users in a supportive manner......and hivechat fulfills this very well.....new people are joining all the time. I hope you can join us too. However, if you would like to host a HiveChat and ask your questions that you mentioned, you're welcome to. We have one spot left on October 27, then all of November is open.

After the JoinHive campaign is done, there is definitely a chance to improve the focus and do more....i just cannot commit to anything sincce i'm doing art full time now also... but feel free to expand your ideas and bring them to light...im sure people would like to engage with your project ideas.

It's our baby

@rootdraws, in some way the #hivechat hosts get rewarded for hosting. The engagement is through the roof and if they post about their #HiveChat experience they do get traction.

It is not evenly distributed yet, as @stellabelle does most of the work and does it voluntarily, but we are seeing others stepping in to supply visuals, gifs and other designs. At some point the #hivechat hosting registration will be automated as well, I'm pretty sure. But I think the first 6 months, we'll have to monitor the progress and I (and others) don't mind spending one hour a week dedicated to chatting about #hive on Twitter. It already has had an amazing spin off in the Spanish community and weekly the chat accumulates at least one tweet every 10 seconds.

The Joe Rogan long form kinda content is nice, but we'd need someone that people will be willing to listen to for an hour (and maybe also doesn't mind to have a drink or hit a blunt before the recording 😅).

What I do think we can do is have a Naval like Tweetstorm during one of the hivechats. I'm bringing that idea to the drawing board 😊.

great insight as usual.
well, maybe you want to take the reigns in October?
That way I can get a break, and you can implement your ideas that you mentioned. I love Naval, so i'd be up for something like that.
my questions for next week HIvechat will be very different from the previous ones. I am going to focus on nfts, cryptoart, and some other topics that are not hive related at all. But honestly, the support that we get from each other has an amazing effect: we feel energy, and that we belong to something bigger than ourselves....and i think in the beginning we needed to focus in on what our hive experiences were.....we have to start from somewhere and then improve every week.

Sure, that sounds like a good idea.
Continuous decentralized development. And you deserve a break after all the work you've put in 😊.

Yea. That's cool as long as there's something to talk about. Volunteers often carry the brunt of projects. Its cool that you're getting traction. I was just trying to dream up a bit of a way that you could turn the project into more of 'a thing' - but I was just throwing ideas out there.

Thanks.
Ideas are always welcome!
Every now and then something sticks propelling the project to the next level 😉.

I don't have the energy to do stuff like that right now. I was just noodling some ideas around. Thank you for responding.

I guess my thought is - if you're going to be doing something like this seriously, you might as well try to get compensated for your work.

I can't really think of another way to do that besides turning what you are already involved with into some type of monetizable project.

Would be down to noodle with you about it sometime.

i almost like the idea of doing volunteer work, and having the hosts do it because they love doing it....
also, i feel that the steem whales in 2016 compensated me so much, that it's now time to return the good luck i received before.

Yea, that makes sense. I find it hard to understand generosity, but I still participate with it. I always try to figure out a way people can benefit from what they appear to be already willing to do - I just don't know how that works.

I get my benefits in ways that I cannot pre-visualize. For example, Dan took notice of work I am doing and he delegated to me 10,000 HP. This was not forseen.

That's awesome Stellabelle.
