Life has already started

A lot has come to my attention in terms of life and what it entails. I know I might be sounding like a philosophical thinker, speaker, or a free thinker at best when I write articles like this. The reason is that I choose to question my thoughts from time to time and the process by which I got to a conclusion, or, in better words, self-realization.

I have noticed that we as humans, especially the young ones in their 20s and 30s, spend a lot of time pondering when it will finally happen. When will I get that high-paying job? When will I meet the love of my life? When will I become the person I was meant to be? When will I start that business? When will I become famous? Trust me when I tell you that the when will I questions can go on and on for as long as possible because we have the ability to generate thoughts within our thoughts. I mean, we can think about a single thing and then run deep into other things within the initial thought. It is more like a thinking loop, and it goes on and on.

This thought about when life will happen for me is what I like to refer to as the actual pressure that many people face today. The pressure of when it will happen and the pressure of wanting it as soon as possible. Let me be factual because what kind of writer will I be if I cannot be open about my feelings in my writing? I actually feel this pressure from time to time, and it sometimes grows into the fear that time is running out. I do not have much time to sit around and wait for when things will happen, and I mean good things. This kind of pressure has its good side as well, in the sense that it could push you to do better, look for more opportunities, and push yourself beyond the brim rather than settling for less. At the same time, do not forget it can place a chip on your shoulder as well.

Well, I have come to the conclusion that life has already started. I have dropped that notion where I expected a grand announcement or a social media notification informing me that life has begun. Rather embrace the happenings already while making the best I can out of it. It is like when they said I wish we knew we were in the good old days before the days came to an end. In this aspect, I have chosen to live the best from every moment; that way, you do not have to wait for some kind of notification informing you about the beginning of life.

On second thought, when I look at it with a different lens, I always wanted some sign from the universe telling me my time is now, but it never came because we are already living in our time. We do not have to sit around and wait; rather, start living, even if it is a little. You know the bucket list you keep locked away; bring it out and look for something on it you could start with. Even if you cannot get what you want, get something close to it. Above all. Remember to be gentle with yourself; remember: you can be the master of your fate; you can be the captain of your soul, but you have to realize life is coming from you and not at you, in the words of Timothee Chalamet during a Dune movie interview.
