Como anteriormente les comenté he tenido serios problemas de internet y mi PC también presenta algunas fallas, pero aquí sigo, haciendo comunidad para todos ustedes.

Desde un par de días antes me encargue de buscar los materiales para realizarle la torta, para nadie es un secreto la difícil situación económica que se vive en Venezuela y lo costoso que se han puesto las cosas sin embargo logré comprar todo y con ayuda de Gibson que ha sido como un hijo para mi mamá comenzamos a realizar la torta.
Since a couple of days before I was in charge of looking for the materials to make the cake, for nobody is a secret the difficult economic situation in Venezuela and how expensive things have become, however I managed to buy everything and with the help of Gibson, who has been like a son to my mom, we started to make the cake.

Un día antes y casi de noche, hicimos la torta en la casa de él, pues yo no quería que mi mamá supiera, así que comenzamos a mezclar los ingredientes… Harina, huevos, mantequilla, leche, vainilla, polvo de hornear, azúcar, leche condensada, Chocolate… en fin, fueron los ingredientes tradicionales y lo mejor de todo es que el material alcanzó para hacerle 3 tortas.
One day before and almost at night, we made the cake at his house, because I didn't want my mom to know, so we started mixing the ingredients... Flour, eggs, butter, milk, vanilla, baking powder, sugar, condensed milk, chocolate... in short, they were the traditional ingredients and the best of all is that the material was enough to make 3 cakes.
WHAT A BEAUTY! I was pleased with the result.
02 de las tortas las unimos en una para que se viera como una grande de 2 pisos y la otra la dejamos aparte… Al día siguiente justo el propio día del cumpleaños Gibson las decoró, rellenas de leche condensada y un decorado lindo, las tortas estaban listas. Las fui a buscar alrededor de las 4:30pm en bicicleta a todo riesgo de que se me pudiera caer alguna, debido a la distancia y la falta de transporte público, fui por una y luego la otra.

Mi mamá no estaba en casa pues fue invitada a un compartir en la iglesia a las 4:00pm, así que aproveché para ir por las tortas mientras ella no estaba y armar todo en la sala para cuando ella llegara viera la sorpresa, pero la primera sorpresa fue que hubo un corte de servicio eléctrico hasta las 8:20pm. Ella llegó a las 7:30pm así que la mantuve lejos de la sala hasta llegar la electricidad de nuevo, ya que son alrededor de 4 horas diarias que nos quitan el servicio en mi ciudad.
My mom was not at home because she was invited to a sharing at church at 4:00pm, so I took the opportunity to go get the cakes while she was gone and set everything up in the living room so that when she arrived she would see the surprise, but the first surprise was that there was a power outage until 8:20pm. She arrived at 7:30pm so I kept her away from the living room until the electricity came back on, since it is about 4 hours a day that the service is cut off in my city.

Ella estaba en fachas o con ropa de estar en casa y se fue a cambiar para tomarnos fotos. Le encantó pues ella estaba resignada a no tener nada ese día debido a que el salario apenas alcanza para la comida de la casa y cuando vio la sorpresa se emocionó.
She was in her home clothes and went to change to take pictures of us. She loved it because she was resigned to not having anything that day due to the fact that her salary was barely enough for food at home and when she saw the surprise she was thrilled.
Unos refrescos, unos tequeños, buena compañía, un día de bendición… ¿Qué más se puede pedir?, VIDA Y SALUD.

Nos tomamos unas fotos, comenzamos a hablar sobre cómo le fue en la iglesia y como había pasado su día… pero yo traté de que todo fuera sorpresa, pero ella se enteró de la torta antes de entrar nuestra casa.
We took some pictures, started talking about how the church went and how she spent her day... but I tried to keep it all a surprise, but she found out about the cake before she even entered our house.
Resulta que una vecina entrometida me vio llegar con una de las tortas y yo amablemente la saludé, pero jamás me imaginé que cuando mi madre llegara de su compartir, esa misma vecina estaría rondando en la calle y le diría *“Felicitaciones, estas cumpliendo años, tu hijo te hizo la torta” *, EL FACTOR SORPRESA ARRUINADO.
It turns out that a nosy neighbor saw me arrive with one of the cakes and I kindly greeted her, but I never imagined that when my mother arrived from her sharing, that same neighbor would be roaming the street and would say *"Congratulations, you're having a birthday, your son made you the cake" *, THE SURPRISE FACTOR RUINED.

Igualmente, mi mamá se hizo la desentendida y aun así se sorprendió cuando no vio una sino dos tortas y la mesa toda bien bonita.
Así que al final se logró lo que se quería y estoy satisfecho con el resultado.

Luego yo me decidí ir a colocar una chaqueta y mis pasamontañas para verme mejor y hacer una videollamada a mi hermano mayor en el exterior para que nos ayudara a cantar el cumpleaños feliz y formara parte de los recuerdos de ese día.
Then I decided to go put on a jacket and my balaclavas to get a better look and make a video call to my older brother outside to help us sing happy birthday and be part of the memories of that day.

Adicionalmente yo le realice un corto video recopilando algunas de las tantas fotos que tenemos y de momentos importantes y eso la emocionó muchísimo… Un día antes yo había comprado agua para llenar el tanque y le había dicho que ese era su regalo adelantado y no tenía más dinero, para despistarla de pensar en que le haría un video o algún pastel.
Additionally I made her a short video compiling some of the many photos we have of important moments and that made her very excited... A day before I had bought water to fill the tank and I had told her that this was her gift in advance and I had no more money, to distract her from thinking that I would make her a video or a cake.
Gracias a Dios todo poderoso por permitirme tener a mi madre a mi lado un año más y poder compartir con ustedes este recuerdo, denle todo el amor a sus mamás que ellas nos dieron la vida y nos sacaron adelante. No hay amor mayor que el de una Madre.
Thanks to God Almighty for allowing me to have my mother by my side for another year and to be able to share this memory with you, give all the love to your mothers, they gave us life and brought us forward. There is no greater love than that of a mother.
