Chana chaat Recipe

Chana chaat is a tasty, tangy and easy chaat snack made from black chana or chole, spice powders, onions, tomatoes and lemon. Chane, being a great source of protein, makes this a perfect day time snack. We even prefer to have this in breakfast, it comes out to be a wholesome meal with toasted multigrain bread. You can also choose to prepare the same recipe with white chole.

Ingredients:

• 100 gms black chana
• 1 chopped onion
• 1 chopped tomato
• 1 chopped green chilly
• Chopped coriander
• ½ TBSP Chaat Masala
• 1 TBSP roasted jeera powder
• ½ TBSB black pepper powder
• ½ TBSP rock salt
• Salt as per taste
• 2 TBSP Lemon Juice
• Sev (Namkeen)

Step 1: Soak Chana overnight and boil them with 1 TBSP salt.

Step 2: Separate the water from the chana and take the dry chana in a bowl.

Step 3: To the chana, add chopped onion, tomato, green chilly and coriander. Mix well.

Step 4: Add all spices in right amount, lemon juice and give it a good mix.

Step 5: Top it up with some coriander leaves and sev.
