Vada pav is a famous Maharashtrian snack, popular as Mumbai vada pav. If you visit Mumbai, you will literally find vada pav stalls in every nook and corner. These are sold for around 5/10 rs. this local cuisine of Maharashtra is famous across the globe and is known for its spicy taste. Let’s see how we make it.
Ingredients
4 Potatoes
2 Cups besan (Gram Flour)
2 Cups oil
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
2 Green chilies
1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
1/4 tsp Garam masala
Salt to taste.
Directions
Mash the potatoes well once boiled and peeled.
Add red chili powder, garam masala, chopped green chilies and salt to the mashed potatoes
Roll the mixture into fine round shaped balls.
In the besan add water and make a fine batter of it.
After that add turmeric powder and salt to batter.
Dip each ball into the fine batter
Fry it in hot oil till it illuminates a golden tinge.
