Ayer, viendo que un impaciente vecino no soportó esperar a deshacer un flojo nudo de un cordón que cerraba la boca de una pequeña bolsa, por un apuro sin sentido que le hizo romper el papel y dejarlo hecho trozos, solo para sacar un lápiz, que era lo que contenía, guardarlo en una gaveta y sentarse a leer una revista, me puse a pensar en la importancia de la paciencia.
Ocurrió que fui a la casa del vecino a entregarle el paquete en sus manos, su hermana me recibió y me llevó hasta donde él se encontraba, pero solo pude estirar el brazo y decirle «Hola...», pues cuando le iba a explicar que debía devolverme la bolsa intacta porque era para Rosita, la vecina que usa ese tipo de papel para sus manualidades, ya la bolsa no existía, era un montón de trozos de papel arrugado, con su cordón perfectamente atado a uno de los pedazos, al que fuera la boca de una bolsa del papel que usa la vecina para elaborar sus preciosas figuras...
La impaciencia nos impide reparar en detalles de mucha o poca importancia, nos hace hacer cosas equivocadas, utilizar métodos ineficaces y destructores incluso para simplezas como deshacer un nudo flojo. Además, la impaciencia elimina por completo ese disfrute de investigar y descubrir un proceso, de conocer el método para al fin encontrar la mejor vía que nos lleva a la meta, anula por completo el placer de aprender.
Yo diría que uno de los peores enemigos del éxito es la impaciencia, imagino que este problema se debe a algún tipo de ansiedad ( y/o a la mala costumbre), algo a tomar en cuenta, también por razones de salud, cosa muy importante esta.
