Cuenta la leyenda indígena de los indios que al principio no existía esta enorme montaña que Caracas posee, un día estás tribus ofendieron a la Diosa del mar y ella muy molesta quiso vengarse creando una gran ola que destruiría todo a su paso, los indios al escuchar el desastre que venía suplicaron por su vida la diosa se compadeció de ellos y la ola antes de caer en el valle de Caracas se convirtió en esta gran montaña que enmarca la capital de Venezuela.
