A Majestic Journey Through Gilgit-Baltistan: Adventure in Astor Valley and Beyond

in GEMS6 months ago

Hey Everyone, it's Wajahat Sardar, and I'm here to spill the beans about my trip to Astor Valley. Picture this: giant mountains, endless green fields, and a river singing a sweet tune. Nature was throwing a party, and I was the VIP guest! Now, let's chat about the cool place I found to crash after all the fun. The accommodations in Astor Valley? Seriously awesome. It's like they read my mind and set up the perfect chill zone.

At 2 am, the annoying blare of the alarm clock disrupts the quiet of the Abbottabad morning. Groggily, I reach over to silence it, my eyes still heavy with sleep. As reality sets in, I realize today is the day - the day our office crew is going to Astor Valley. Excitement surges through me, dispelling the remnants of sleep.

The prospect of exploring Astor Valley, with its grand mountains and verdant meadows, ignites my adrenaline. I toss back the covers, my mind already running through the packing checklist. Anticipation hums in the air; this trip has been the topic of office conversation for weeks. In the early morning before the sun rose, the street of Abbottabad city was covered in the dark it was 2am, and I carefully went about my activities at home, mindful of not disturbing those still asleep. After preparing a cup of tea in the kitchen, I was thinking of the packing of the language.

I prepared everything at night but it seemed like a massive task getting everything ready for the vacation. Clothing? Yes. Camera? Of course. Selecting the food involves both pleasure and anxiety. It's funny how these seemingly insignificant decisions may add up to a lot when traveling. Having a good supply of snacks is like a secret rule, a survival kit for the journey.

Closing my backpack, thoughts of the day ahead fill my mind. The Astor Valley mountains are calling, offering adventure and good times with friends. I know my coworkers are as excited as I am when I hear the car start. This is more than simply a getaway; it's an opportunity for us to all escape our daily struggles and create unforgettable memories. The roads are calm as we pack our stuff into the car. It's a mix of feeling happy and peaceful, something you only sense early in the morning.

The car lights shine through the dark as we drive through the empty streets, going towards the unfamiliar. There's a free feeling when you're on the open road, like breaking away from the usual and jumping into something extraordinary. The trip is not just about where we're going but also about the way there. The sound of the tires on the road, friends talking, and sometimes laughing make a soundtrack for our adventure. The city slowly disappears, and we start seeing the peaceful countryside

As the first light of the morning colors the sky in pink and orange, we're on the twisty roads to Astor Valley. With each turn, the excitement grows, and I can't resist peeking at the scenery outside. The world is waking up with us, and the sun is making everything it touches glow in gold.

We stop at a roadside dhaba for a quick breakfast at Narran Valley. The smell of parathas and chai fills the air, and for a moment, it feels like time has stopped. It's the simple joys like enjoying hot chai, feeling the morning sun's warmth, and sharing laughter over a meal that makes a journey unforgettable, especially if you are having your breakfast in a beautiful place like Narran Valley. After having breakfast we continued our journey and reached the Babusar Top one of the most famous places near Gilgit-Baltistan.

Babusartop elevation of 4,173 meters or 13,691 feet is a mountain pass in Pakistan, and it is the highest peak in the Gilgit Baltistan. It was very cold because of its elevation. We also face difficulty in breathing due to the low level of oxygen. The Bilgit Balkistan region, especially after Babusar Top, has a strikingly different landscape that grabs travelers' attention with its rough beauty. When you go further past Babusar Top, the scenery changes a lot. There's a lot of open land, and you notice there's not much grass or green stuff around.

The mountains in this area are big and impressive, their tops reaching up high into the sky. Because it's really high up and the weather is tough, not much can grow here. You won't see a lot of grass or green stuff, which makes the landscape look kind of severe and empty.

The ground turns rocky and bare, with a lot of open mountainsides and rough cliffs. The colors are mostly earthy, like different browns and grays, making the place seem almost like it's from another world. Without much green stuff around, you can see the natural shapes of the mountains really clearly, showing how nature has shaped this area for a really long time.

Even though the Bilgit Balkistan mountains seem tough, they have a special beauty in their emptiness. When the light hits the rocks, especially during sunrise and sunset, it's really amazing. The quiet and aloneness of the empty land make you feel amazed like you're part of something really big. People who want to experience the strong power and beauty of nature go there.

The Bilgit Balkistan mountains past Babusar Top are very different from places with more greenery. This area shows how life can survive in really tough places and reminds us of how incredible and different our planet is. People who go into this faraway and rough land get an experience they won't forget, even if there might not be much green stuff, the mountains themselves are really amazing.

We're nearing Astor Valley. The road has been long, but the anticipation makes it worthwhile. As we get closer to our destination, the stars start to glitter, excited for the adventure that lies ahead in the valley's darkness. Even though the travel is exhausting, it is exciting and full of possibilities for new experiences. We're at Astor Valley, and it's getting dark now. We've been on the road for about 14 hours, traveling all the way from Abbottabad.

We finally arrived at our hotel, had dinner, and were so tired that we couldn't go outside. Now, we just want to sleep and wake up early to explore Astor Valley.
