Es temporada de vacaciones, así que los niños especialmente mis sobrinos han podido aprovechar estas lluvias ya que se encuentran en sus casas y tomando en cuenta el clima tan caluroso que estamos atravesando estos días, no hay excusas para no querer refrescarse con un baño bajo la lluvia.
Algo que me ha llamado mucho la atención es que a pesar de que a mis sobrinos les entusiasma bañarse bajo la lluvia, muy pocas veces lo hacen porque viven en apartamento y resulta un poco incomódo para su mamá poder vigilarlos mientras lo hacen.
Hace unos días estaba muy entusiasmada por que estábamos en casa de mi madre y el clima pronosticaba una fuerte lluvia, así que les dije: niños parece que va a llover, les gustaría salir a bañarse? La primera reacción que recibí de Nelly la más grandecita fue: y si nos enfermamos de gripe?😳 Por un momento me quedé pensando cuando de niña tenía que rogarle mucho a mi mamá para que me permitiera bañarme cuando llovía, mientras que mis sobrinos enumeraban razones por las cuales no les resultaba una buena idea hacerlo.

Something that has caught my attention is that even though my nephews are excited to take a bath in the rain, they rarely do it because they live in an apartment and it is a bit uncomfortable for their mom to watch them while they do it.
A few days ago I was very excited because we were at my mother's house and the weather was predicting heavy rain, so I said to them: kids it looks like it's going to rain, would you like to go outside and take a bath? The first reaction I got from Nelly, the oldest one, was: what if we get the flu?😳 For a moment I kept thinking about when as a child I had to beg my mom a lot to let me take a bath when it rained, while my nephews and nieces listed reasons why it was not a good idea for them to do so.
Por otro lado mi sobrino Javier me explicaba que si le gustaría bañarse pero que le preocupaba que el agua sucia del piso le enfermara los pies, imagino que se refería a los charcos😏, al escuchar esto no pude evitar soltar una carcajada🤣 a la vez que pronunciaba mentalmente: Estos niños de ahora!
Pero pienso que mucho de esto tiene que ver con nuestros paradigmas como adultos, a veces le inventamos cosas a los niños para que simplemente desistan de sus deseos y se queden quietos en casa viendo la tele, la Tablet o el teléfono, en cierta forma entiendo a muchos padres cuando hacen esto, mi hermana siempre me dice que cuando tenga mis propios hijos entenderé su miedo de madre.

But I think that a lot of this has to do with our paradigms as adults, sometimes we invent things to children so that they simply give up their desires and stay at home watching TV, the Tablet or the phone, in a way I understand many parents when they do this, my sister always tells me that when I have my own children I will understand her fear as a mother.
Y tal vez ella tenga toda la razón pero mientras no sea así y pueda ayudar a mis sobrinos a experimentar lo que yo disfruté cuando niña, aprendiendo de las oportunidades, lo haré siempre que pueda. Algo que debemos tener en cuenta es que si pasamos a los niños nuestros propios miedos, crecerán siendo niños inseguros.
Pero al final los niños son niños y como tal viven el presente sin miedo una vez que logran despejar sus dudas y miedos, así que después de documentarme un poco con el internet para poder abordar el tema, les expliqué algunas razones de porque sería divertido bañarse bajo la lluvia sin miedo a tener que enfermarse de gripe.

Es importante que cuidemos a los niños y cuando los exponemos a experiencias como estas debemos tomar en cuenta algunas medidas que ayudaran a que no se resfríen, como por ejemplo bañarlos muy bien para sacarles el agua inmediatamente dejen de estar bajo la lluvia, proporcionarles una bebida caliente y abrigarlos muy bien, de esta manera bañarse bajo la lluvia se convertirá en una gran experiencia.
