Learning values at Christmas

in GEMS3 years ago

Hello friends

Happy beginning of the week and Merry Christmas to the whole community!

As we know the Christmas season is very special for most people, and a few days ago many families had the opportunity to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus, which generates a lot of excitement especially in children. For children, it is a date full of joy as they wait for their long-awaited gifts.

However, it is also important to remember that many families did not have the opportunity to meet with family or friends, to share a meal or a gift with their children for various reasons, so it is a good time to promote values in children and in the family.

It is very important that from an early age we foster in our children the true meaning of Christmas and the birth of the child, so that they sow in their hearts feelings of support, help, companionship, solidarity, lots of love, peace and joy especially when shared with those who need it most.

As parents there are many gifts that we want to give to our children at this time, and it may take us many days looking for the best toy, the best clothes, the best shoes and that can make us forget to share a moment to be thankful for what we have in the company of children and not only focus our energies on the material.

We must be examples for our children and at this time of the year, we must carry out actions that promote values in them and in the whole family, take the opportunity to strengthen ties and share, because no matter how much or how little we have, we can always help.

Help them in the elaboration of the traditional letters so that they can express gratitude and that their wishes are not only focused on material things.

It is very nice to participate as a family in activities to collect clothes, toys in good condition to collaborate with other people.

Prepare food on the special Christmas day for families who do not have the necessary resources.

Talk to the children about the importance of valuing what they have, that it is not the amount of gifts they can receive but the affection with which each gift is given. You can not only receive material gifts, Christmas goes beyond that, to receive hugs, company, family meals among many other things.

You can share moments to make personalized cards expressing love and affection to people like grandparents, uncles and aunts which will fill them with much joy and recharge them with positive energy.

Well friends, I hope you receive a year full of many blessings, thanks for reading!
