Going back in history, the practice of Emotional Intelligence has been implemented in various fields, revolutionizing the business field and other areas. This concept became known in the twentieth century in the nineties, when the American university professors John Mayer and Peter Salovey elaborated a first model, where they defined the concept of Emotional Intelligence, as well as explained that there were key elements that regulate emotions and allow the development of the necessary skills to achieve success in life.

In this regard Mayer and Salovey (1999) point out their definition as: The ability to perceive, appraise and express emotions accurately; the ability to access and generate feelings that facilitate thinking; the ability to understand emotion and emotional knowledge; and the ability to regulate emotions and promote emotional and intellectual growth. In other words, Emotional Intelligence is the ability to understand one's own feelings and the feelings of those around, manage them to express them in a beneficial way, in such a way that one cannot lose balance despite the frustrations that arise daily in the different aspects that make up life.

The mastery of these skills are key to emotional intelligence as they determine the control of oneself, the management of relationships with others and also allow the development of the necessary skills to achieve a better social adaptation to achieve success in various areas both work and personal. There are some reports that state that in the labor field of the XXI Century employees must organize their professional life, perfect their art and take advantage of the experiences made in the different aspects of their life, it is precisely there, where emotions play an important role and it will be necessary to educate the human being until reaching the development of their emotional, affective and social skills.

That is why in this area it is essential that workers have a professional training that allows them to develop the emotional skills necessary to recognize their own feelings and those of others, to manage them in a favorable way and to establish good relationships with the environment. In this sense, it is important to point out that the lack of control of emotions can negatively affect work performance, causing conflicts in the organizational climate, which results in the inefficient development of functions, failures in the environment required for teamwork and difficulties in achieving the proposed goals.
