Hoy les quiero compartir un relato referente a lo que significa vivir una vocación significativa en la vida, como lo es dar educación, ser maestro.

Today I want to share a story about what it means to live a meaningful vocation in life, such as giving an education, being a teacher.
Mi esposo de nombre Ramón, vivía en el Estado Barinas, uno estado cubierto por llanuras y montañas, muchos lugares lejanos entre pueblos y una población muy especial. Hace años cuando recién se graduaba de Docente (maestro), su primera experiencia de dar clases resulta que se la asignaron en una comunidad lejana a 8 kilómetros de su casa. En una zona rural donde no pasaban muchos carros y que un grupo de niños no recibían educación porque no había docente capaz de llegar a esa zona.
My husband named Ramón, lived in the State of Barinas, a state covered by plains and mountains, many distant places between towns and a very special population. Years ago when she had just graduated from Teaching, her first teaching experience turns out to have been assigned to her in a distant community 8 kilometers from her home. In a rural area where not many cars passed and a group of children did not receive education because there was no teacher capable of reaching that area.
Ramón asumió la experiencia y tomo su bicicleta diariamente los 8 kilómetros de carretera por dos años. Él cuenta que madrugaba a las 5:30am para llegar antes de las 8:00 am y lograr con éxito su jornada educativa. Al llegar muy sudado pero con energía, en el aula lo esperaban muy entusiasmados el grupo de niños que por mucho tiempo no recibían sus clases por falta de docente. Para el fue gratificante y le lleno el corazón como estaban los niños sentaditos y calladitos, con su cuaderno en el asiento y listo para todo.
Ramón assumed the experience and took his bicycle daily the 8 kilometers of highway for two years. He says that he got up early at 5:30 am to arrive before 8:00 am and successfully complete his educational day. When he arrived very sweaty but energetic, the group of children who for a long time did not receive their classes for lack of teacher were waiting for him in the classroom. For him it was gratifying and filled his heart as the children sat and were quiet, with his notebook on the seat and ready for everything.
El segundo día camino de nuevo a la escuela, quiso en sus momentos de descanso de tanto pedalear, aprovecho y tomo fotos del paisaje que el recorria y aquí se las muestro:

Lo más gratificante para el al llegar el segundo día al aula es que consiguió en el escritorio, una jarra de agua y unas frutas que sus alumnos les hicieron llegar, uno de los alumnos se le acercó y le dijo: Profe para la sed y algo para las energías, ya vimos que llega en bicicleta. Les confieso que cuando mi esposo me contó eso, le vi en sus ojos un brillo y yo me enternecí, del bonito gesto de sus alumnos para con el.
De salida a casa Ramón tomo la bicicleta y le pidió a uno de los alumnos que le tomaran una foto, para tener el recuerdo de casa momento.
The most gratifying thing for him when he arrived on the second day in the classroom was that he got a jug of water and some fruits on the desk that his students sent them, one of the students approached him and said: Professor for thirst and something For the energies, we already saw that it arrives by bicycle. I confess that when my husband told me that, I saw a sparkle in his eyes and I was moved by the beautiful gesture of his students towards him.
On the way home Ramón took the bicycle and asked one of the students to take a photo of him, to have the memory of each moment.
Con el tiempo muchos vecinos terminaban dándole una ayuda en carretera en carro al conocer al profesor de la escuelita, y a veces les tocaba la experiencia de rescatar ganado pequeños que se escapaban del rebaño y los hacia llegar a los dueños. Entre experiencia y aventura fueron sus inicios como Docente y siempre me menciona que es una carrera hermosa y que debe ser vivida con verdadera vocación, dedicación, amor y ganas para apoyar al futuro de un país.
Over time, many residents ended up giving him a roadside assistance by car when they met the school teacher, and sometimes they had the experience of rescuing small cattle that escaped from the herd and brought them to the owners. Between experience and adventure were his beginnings as a Teacher and he always mentions to me that it is a beautiful career and that it must be lived with a true vocation, dedication, love and desire to support the future of a country.
